As an athlete, a family man, and a man of faith, I understand the challenges with adjusting to change associated with leaving a sport or career, you love, before you believe your time is up. I understand what it feels like to develop a bond and the challenges with sustaining such bonds. I also understand seeking growth spiritually when there’s so much temptation and triggers that seem to pull me away for my goals. With that, these experiences are what hopefully keep me humble, motivated, and grateful.
Hello, my name is Katrina and I look forward to learning about your healing journey. Before becoming a clinical mental health counselor, I worked as both an elementary school teacher and school administrator in the U.S., Italy, and China. These roles introduced me to the impact our home environments and personal relationships have on our holistic health and on the decisions we say 'Yes' or 'No' to.
I transitioned into clinical mental health counseling while living in Shanghai with my family. This experience offered me the opportunity to work with adolescents, adults, and couples from six continents and to learn how, despite cultural and linguistic differences, we all seek meaning, purpose, and acceptance in our lives. In addition, it provided me with the unexpected opportunity to learn how to offer crisis counseling online and in-person to those living under COVID lockdown and quarantine conditions, an experience that prepared me to participate in on-the-ground crisis counseling services in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian in SW Florida.
I enjoy offering others a space for conversations that can spark insight into what we want from therapy and what we are ready to commit to in this moment. Sometimes we come to therapy ready to overhaul our lives. Other times, we need verbal processing that allows us to grieve our losses, acknowledge our regrets without blame, talk about trauma in a safe way, and receive validation for what we are looking forward to. In this environment, I hope to collaborate with you in a meaningful way that prepares you for your next stage of life- or perhaps helps you survive the stage you are currently in.

I decided to be a counselor because I understood the importance of someone who looks like me doing this work. My goal is to create an open and affirming space for everyone including, Black bodies, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and those creating healthy non-traditional relationships. Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and trauma are common issues that can impact your day to day lives and close relationships no matter your background. By the end of therapy, you will be more confident in speaking up for yourself and creating healthy boundaries. I utilize a strength-based approach that combines different therapeutic modalities that address generational trauma, negative self-talk, and strategies to improve your mood. I tend to tailor treatment to each individual to fit who they are and their needs.
Hi, my name is Lisa. When I was younger, I read The Making of a Psychiatrist by Dr. David Viscott. In the book, the doctor walked into his office to see a client taking books off the bookshelf and throwing them onto the floor. That is how I remember the book anyway. The doctor connected with that hurting person with such compassion and insight, and he allowed for vulnerability and healing. I wanted to connect like that with hurting people and help them in their struggles. I didn't become a psychiatrist, but I did find purpose in helping others walk through difficult life journeys. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I worked for over 30 years in hospice in the bereavement department, supporting those experiencing grief, anticipatory grief, caregiver stress, and life transitions. We also dealt with anxiety, depression, and other life struggles that came up along the way. I am passionate about helping clients navigate life's most challenging moments. I will provide a safe and supportive environment where you can process emotions, build resilience, and discover coping strategies. Life sometimes gets messy, and you may feel isolated and overwhelmed. You don't have to face this alone. I have journeyed with hospice patients and their families for 32 years, and I would be honored to journey with you.
I’m Diana Ries, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience in counseling and healthcare. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space, provide practical tools, and help clients leave with clarity, confidence, and hope in healing.

My clients often arrive carrying a heavy emotional load, including unresolved trauma, fear, grief, shame, or self-doubt. Through a compassionate, trauma-informed, and integrative approach, I help them feel safe, seen, and understood while guiding them toward meaningful and lasting change. Therapy is collaborative and personalized, empowering clients to build insight, develop effective coping skills, and reconnect with their inner strength.

I initally began my career in technical problem-solving in the fields of Environmental Science and Engineering, but my deeper calling was always in helping people navigate their own challenges. While working as an engineer, I served my church community as a lay counselor and intercessor, which sparked a growing passion for more meaningful, people-centered work. That calling led me to pursue a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and I haven’t looked back since. Today, I serve as both a private practice clinician and a workplace mental health consultant and trainer. This work allows me to blend my analytical skills with a deep commitment to emotional wellbeing—and I truly feel I’ve found my purpose.

I'm so glad you are here! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Ohio and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, with many years of experience. I enjoy telehealth as a way to meet lots of new clients. I have worked privately and in the community with individuals, families, and couples. I have worked with adults and children and have experience in outpatient locations, prisons and juvenile detention facilities, inpatient psychiatric facilities, and schools. I enjoy helping clients with stress, anxiety, anger, depression, family and relationship issues, marriage, co-parenting, life transition, teen issues, grief, career counseling, & domestic violence.
I've been blessed to have wonderful professional positions throughout my career (see roderickhaferphd.com). Most recently I was Vice-Chair of the Psychiatry Department at the University of Wisconsin. I enjoy working with all client presentations and believe that the "connection" with those I treat is critical to therapy success. I think a 15 to 30 minute free consultation would be the best approach to determine "our fit" in working together.
I have several years of experience treating individuals, families, and adolescents using a holistic, empathic, and trauma-informed approach. Watching friends and family struggle with mental health and substance abuse issues fueled my passion for helping those who struggle with these difficulties from a place of understanding, patience, and empathy. I received a BA in psychology first, which led to obtaining a substance abuse certificate. I gained experience working with families and individuals and, after some time, I was ready to further my education and obtained a Master of Social Work. This helped me expand my clinical skills and learn more targeted therapy modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, psychoanalytical care, and art therapy. I found these approaches are a great synthesis of neuroscience, trauma, and creativity.
My work experience has spanned a variety of settings, through which I developed a strong clinical background rooted in ACT, DBT, and mindfulness-based approaches. As a therapist, my goal is to provide quality care using proven therapeutic approaches with compassion, dignity, and real human connection to help patients take action toward building a meaningful life enriched by connection to personal values and a deepened sense of self.
Are you tired of going to a therapist who just "listens"? Most of my clients find success given my authentic approach, extensive educational background, evidence-based approaches and an environment for growth. I'm not your average therapist! You can sit with me.
Through life's ups and downs, I'll guide you through learning, creating and solidifying skills that will help progress you through not only high performance but healthy mental functioning and improving your overall relationships. I understand the unique needs of each family/individual and tailor my approach to best fit my clients. One size does not fit all.
My background at Pepperdine University prepared me for the diverse populations I would encounter as a therapist and gave me the confidence to assist in almost any area of concern. I've worked with children/adolescents in school settings, in-patient mental health rehabilitation facilities as well as outpatient mental health facilities. I specialize in treating individuals with depression, anxiety, relationships and high-performance. I'm a licensed professional clinical counselor and licensed marriage and family therapist. I also have a background in behavioral therapy as a registered behavioral technician.
Life is complicated. It takes courage to reach out for help and support. When we feel the most vulnerable it is even harder to take any risks. If you are ready to make a change and think working with me might be the guide you need, please reach out to see if we may be a good fit

Fulfilling our potential is a lifelong journey of becoming more at peace with ourselves, deepening the intimacy in our relationships, being more authentically human, and feeling more alive each day. Along the way, certain challenges arise to cause us distress or confusion. Such moments can make us feel held back, afraid, or unsure of where to go from here. But these moments can also be the points of growth and healing from which we renew ourselves in ways we did not think possible.
