Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Georgia and also licensed to practice in South Carolina. I bring over 14 years of experience in the field of social work, with the past eight years focused on direct clinical practice. Throughout my career, I’ve supported individuals facing a wide range of emotional and life challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward meaningful change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is all about getting to know you—your story, your goals, and what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’re hoping to get out of the process and begin exploring the challenges you’re facing. I’ll also ask some questions to better understand your background and current concerns, and we’ll review important information about confidentiality and how therapy works. This session is a chance for us to start building a connection in a safe, judgment-free space. There's no pressure to share everything at once—this is your time, and we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I create a warm, supportive space where clients feel truly seen and heard. My approach is practical and down-to-earth, blending empathy with evidence-based techniques to help clients gain insight, build coping skills, and make meaningful changes. I’m skilled at meeting clients where they are and helping them feel grounded during difficult times. Clients often share that they appreciate my calm presence, consistent support, and the clarity they gain through our work together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve individuals who are motivated to grow, even if they’re unsure where to begin. My ideal clients are often navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or difficulty managing stress. Many are seeking to build healthier relationships, improve their coping skills, or feel more connected and confident in themselves. Whether you’re working through life transitions, feeling stuck in old patterns, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, I’m here to walk alongside you. I especially enjoy working with clients who are open to reflection, willing to engage in the therapeutic process, and ready to take small but meaningful steps toward lasting change. If you’re seeking a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings and are committed to doing the work of healing and growth, we may be a great fit.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented approach that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. In my practice, I help clients recognize these patterns, challenge distorted thoughts, and develop healthier coping strategies. This collaborative process empowers individuals to manage their emotions and improve their overall well-being.

Strength-Based

Strength-based interventions focus on identifying and leveraging your existing strengths and resources to foster resilience and growth. In practice, I help clients recognize their unique abilities and successes, guiding them to apply these strengths to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. This approach fosters a positive mindset and enhances self-efficacy, empowering clients to take an active role in their personal development.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment (SFBT) is a goal-oriented approach that emphasizes finding solutions rather than dissecting problems. In my practice, I engage clients in envisioning their desired future and identifying the steps needed to achieve it, often highlighting previous successes and strengths. This collaborative method fosters a sense of hope and motivation, enabling clients to make meaningful progress in a short amount of time.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation involves providing clients with information about mental health and coping strategies to empower them in their healing process. In my practice, I utilize psychoeducation to help clients understand their conditions, the mechanisms behind their emotions and behaviors, and effective techniques for managing symptoms. This knowledge fosters greater self-awareness and equips clients with the tools they need to navigate challenges more effectively.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is a client-centered approach that focuses on enhancing intrinsic motivation to change by exploring and resolving ambivalence. In my practice, I use open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmations to help clients articulate their goals and the reasons for change, fostering a supportive environment. This collaborative dialogue encourages clients to identify their own solutions and strengthens their commitment to making positive changes in their lives.
