Hey, I'm Robyn. I've been a therapist for over 15 years, and one thing I've learned is that life can be complicated. Sometimes you know exactly what the problem is and just don't know what to do about it. Other times, you just know you're tired of feeling the way you feel. I work with people dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, difficult relationships, narcissistic abuses and concerns around gender identity. I am a down-to-earth therapist. You don't have to come in knowing what to say or having everything figured out. We'll start where you are and go from there.
My name is Amber, I have worked in the mental health field for the last 13 years. I started my career working with domestic violence and sexual assault survivors. During my time working for that victim services department, I also did outreach with the youth in my area. My career next directed to the Forensic population. Mentally ill client's that had felony charges. The next step in my career was working with parents battling addition and had a open case with DCF. I provided in home substance abuse and mental health counseling. I enjoy working with the substance abuse community. I work with client from the age of 13 to 101. I have a master's in substance abuse counseling and my License in mental health counseling.
My approach is augmented by previous experience in community-based mental health as well as outpatient and intensive outpatient substance abuse recovery. He has also been a student of martial arts for almost 2 decades and has been exposed to its teachings and discipline. These experiences contribute to a unique skill set and a multidimensional approach that recognizes the importance of the client, family, culture, and community in guiding a successful treatment.
