I’m Micheal Franklin, and my journey into therapy began in a blue-collar family where my relatives worked in textile mills, battery plants, and furniture factories. Growing up, I aspired to carve a different path, aiming to be the first in my family to earn a college degree. I graduated from Western Piedmont Community College in Drug and Alcohol Technology and earned an Associate in Arts in 1996. I then continued my education at Gardner-Webb University, obtaining my Bachelor’s in Science in Human Services. Recognizing that the job market wouldn’t provide enough financial stability, I joined the Marines in 1998. During my service, I got married and welcomed a baby boy, which motivated me to seek part-time work with troubled adolescents and teens facing addiction issues. After leaving the Marines in 2003, I worked in a group home for adolescents and later became a Prevention Supervisor for adolescent substance use treatment. I also served as the lead treatment therapist for a Men's Intensive Outpatient Program at the Cognitive Connection in Hickory, NC. My passion for helping others led me to teach parenting classes and collaborate with Child Protective Services. I pursued my Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of West Florida while gaining experience in Community Mental Health. I also worked in a drug court program for two years. Hi, I’m Cathe and I believe in our ability to break generational traumas, to heal from wounds inflicted by those who didn’t know how or didn’t have the capacity to show up for us; and to learn how to show up for ourselves. Throughout the years I’ve worked with individual who struggled with addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma and provided counseling services to military services member and their families while deployed overseas. I witnessed the significant impact that relationships can have on your overall wellbeing. From my own personal experience; as I worked to unlearn what was no longer serving me and to rediscover my worth, I was presented with how fundamentally transformative this process can be. It’s led me to learn how to live with greater peace, to create and sustain connections and to feel safe and secure in love. It’s not an easy process nor is it a painless journey but it’s worth it. As for my credentials... I earned my Master’s degree at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for the state of Florida and territory of Guam, a board certified Telemental Health Provider and a Master’s Level Certified Addiction Professional. I am also a Qualified Clinical Supervisor which allows me to provide supervision to registered interns for Mental Health Counseling within the state of Florida. Hello, My name is Moises Ramy. I am a licensed mental health therapist, a Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida, and a doctor of psychology. I graduated as a Doctor of Clinical Psychology from Carlos Albizu University, Miami Campus and completed my doctoral internship at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Lexington, Kentucky. At that time, the mission of FMC was a federal prison/hospital for incarcerated females with medical and psychological conditions. During my doctoral internship, I completed three clinical rotations. Two at FMC, in the Crisis Wing and in the General Population Unit and an elective rotation at Ridge Behavioral Health System (formerly Charter Ridge Hospital of Lexington), Lexington, Kentucky, assessing suicidality of adolescents in crisis from the Lexington area and the Appalachians. My clinical spectrum covers diverse females and males, LGBTQ+ members, homeless veterans, and young college students experiencing moderate to severe adjustment problems as well as older adult issues. During these clinical years, I have acquired vast experience helping clients from all walks of life struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, interpersonal conflicts, bipolar disorder, gender and sexual identity issues, abuse and trauma, and substance abuse. I have offered most of my clinical services in different prisons and rehabilitation centers, private and community mental health hospitals, and veteran homeless organizations. My exposure and experience working with these populations have extraordinarily helped me become a more empathetic, non-judgmental and non-directive clinician. My whole idea about psychotherapy is helping clients to help themselves so that they work on solutions, develop the strength to cope with their everyday challenges and regain competence and control of their lives.
