New to Grow
I am a bilingual therapist (English/Spanish) with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from UF and a Master’s from FIU. I’m passionate about working with children, adolescents, and young adults in individual or family therapy. I take a collaborative talk therapy approach, using cognitive behavioral and evidence-based techniques tailored to your unique needs. One of my favorite quotes comes from Walt Disney: “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” I’m here to support your courage, no matter where you’re starting from. If you’re ready to start a journey toward greater peace and connection, I’d be honored to support you.
In our first session, my goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s been going on in your life, what you’d like to work on, and any goals or hopes you have for our time together. I’ll also share more about my approach so you know what to expect and can ask any questions. This session is more about building a foundation than diving straight into solutions. It’s a chance for you to share your story at your own pace, while I listen carefully and begin to identify ways I can best support you. By the end, we’ll have a clearer sense of your needs and a plan for moving forward together.
I offer a compassionate and safe space to be truly seen and heard. Together, we can gently explore what’s going on beneath the surface, helping you find clarity and understanding of your feelings and patterns. With kindness and practical support, you can learn ways to manage stress, heal from past pain, and nurture healthier connections with yourself and those you care about.
Sometimes life feels heavy, and deciding to ask for help is one of the bravest things you can do. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, or carrying the weight of past traumas, I’m here to support you. I work best with teens, young adults, families, and couples who are navigating the challenges of trauma or major life transitions. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or stuck in old patterns that no longer serve them. They may be coping with loss, relationship struggles, family conflict, or changes in school, work, or identity.
I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice. I find CBT to be especially effective because it helps clients make the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a very practical way. In my work, I often guide clients through identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and then practicing healthier, more balanced ways of responding. We use structured techniques such as thought records, behavioral experiments, and skills practice both in session and between sessions. What I appreciate about CBT is that it gives clients concrete tools they can use right away, while also encouraging deeper self-awareness over time. I tailor the approach to each individual, integrating it with mindfulness, interpersonal skills, or acceptance-based strategies when needed, so clients feel supported and empowered to make meaningful changes in their daily lives.
