Hi! I'm Amanda, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida. I received my Master's from Barry University with a dual master's in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a veteran and proudly served in our US Navy which drives my heart to provide help for veterans, retired military, military personnel, and their families. I’ve been practicing since 2015. I help adults struggling with relationship stress, career stress, life transitions, and burnout become the best versions of themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After the initial and necessary paperwork is completed. The first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, and then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. In our following sessions, clients can expect a collaborative experience, where we will work together to create a tailored plan and goals for their specific life challenges in a compassionate and non-judgmental atmosphere. Knowing therapy can occasionally be a painful process. I leave room and space for my clients to work through their struggles and roadblocks in life at their own pace. We will focus on exploring and managing thoughts, feelings, and responses by using Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), as well as integrating a collaborative and eclectic range of skills and tools, such as DBT, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed therapy practices and techniques in the sessions. My goal is to help my clients gain insight and develop more helpful coping strategies and tools to manage their moods, thoughts, feelings, and responses. Which will empower them to navigate life's challenges and become more resilient to work through difficult life situations in the future.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength lies in my empathetic approach to collaborating with clients and providing a safe, nonjudgmental space to express themself. I actively listen, validate, and honor each of my client's unique perspectives, as well as guiding and exploring new and different viewpoints.
