Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in CT and AK. I graduated from Capella University with a Masters of Science (mental health counseling). I am currently working with adults with a variety of stressors: ADHD, anxiety, depression, motivation, disabilities, chronic illness, grief/loss and other phase of life issues in a trauma-informed, multicultural awareness, strength-based orientation using a variety of tools customized to the client.
For more than 25 years as a social worker, I have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals as they identify their strengths, clarify their goals, and build the skills needed to create meaningful change. Over the years, I have learned that growth rarely happens in a straight line. It often begins with small steps, honest conversations, and the willingness to try something new. I believe every person has the capacity for growth, even during life’s most difficult seasons, and that healing is possible when people feel supported, respected, and understood.
My approach is compassionate, strengths-based, and solution-focused. I blend evidence-based practices with humor, grace, and gentle persistence to help clients move toward the life they want. In our work together, we will focus on what is already working, identify patterns that may be getting in the way, and develop practical coping skills that fit your unique needs and values. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative space where you can speak openly, explore challenges without judgment, and feel encouraged to keep moving forward, even when progress feels slow.
I also believe therapy should be both practical and empowering. Together, we will look for creative solutions, build resilience, and strengthen your confidence in handling whatever comes your way. Change is not always easy, but you do not have to navigate it alone. My goal is to help you reduce your struggles, reconnect with your strengths, and discover the tools you need not just to cope, but to thrive in your daily life and relationships. Whether you are facing stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, or a major life transition, I will meet you where you are and work with you at a pace that feels manageable, hopeful, and grounded in your strengths so you can move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
As a therapist, I am here to support and guide individuals on their journey towards healing, self-discovery, and personal growth. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and work collaboratively with them to address their concerns and achieve their therapeutic goals. Through empathy, understanding, and evidence-based interventions, I strive to empower clients to navigate life's challenges, develop coping skills, and cultivate resilience to live more fulfilling and authentic lives.
Authentic communication is an important part of the therapeutic process, especially for neurodivergent clients. If you’re looking for someone who will show up as themselves, champion your special interests and strengths, and work with you to relieve some of your daily distress, I’m the therapist for you. Together, we’ll find solutions that you can feel good about and empower you to make lasting change.
Research and clinical experience guide my therapeutic approach. Much of my work involves helping individuals process trauma and life experiences or stressors. I understand that in working with individuals through an array of challenges, vulnerability and compassion are necessary for healing. It is my goal to provide a safe, warm, and relaxed environment for individuals to tune out external noise and deepen the connection within.

At an early I age I realized I wanted answers. I had many questions as a child that I had to try and figure out on my own. I was privileged to pursue an education that gave me these answers, and since then I have worked to help others find their own. I still remember the first few times I was able to understand complex emotions and situations, and how great it felt to know that there are real explanations to difficult things, even if its a challenging process.
