I strive to balance empathy with direction. While our sessions will always move at your pace, we will also work collaboratively toward clear, practical outcomes that support real and lasting change. Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will go through brief introductions and then dive into getting to know you a little better. You are free to open up as much or as little as possible. The main question being "What brings you to therapy today?"

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I started my career working in residential treatment centers and psychiatric hospitals and have found that my time in those settings really helped shape me as a clinician. I feel very strongly in my abilities to form a strong therapeutic relationship with clients. I specialize in trauma and emotional regulation work, whether it's using TF-CBT, CBT, DBT or strengths based psychology, we will always tailor treatment around your specific needs.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

As a bilingual Latina therapist, I bring both cultural understanding and lived experience into the therapy space. I am passionate about working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and strive to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood without needing to over-explain their cultural experiences. I am especially passionate in working with young adults navigating trauma, life transitions, and everyday stressors. I provide a safe, affirming space to process experiences, build coping skills, and foster emotional resilience.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT since the start of my career in an effort to help clients better understand how their behaviors connect to their thoughts and emotions. This can help clients better manage and cope with any symptoms they may be experiencing. I have used Trauma-Focused CBT in residential treatment centers for clients experiencing severe PTSD, but have also used components of TF-CBT with clients experiencing complex traumas and other life stressors.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

My experience with DBT ranges from psychiatric hospitals, residential settings and outpatient settings helping individuals learn a variety of skills that can help them better manage their lives.

Positive Psychology

When appropriate, I have used positive psychology to help shift a client's perspective from focusing on problematic behaviors to strengths.

Mind-body approach

As a certified yoga teacher, I take components from yoga and other mind-body exercises to help clients better understand the connection between mental health/well-being and our bodies as a whole.
