There are times in life when we struggle and feel hopeless. We try our best to be resilient, but sometimes we need help in finding our inner strengths and developing strategies to move forward. I am here to help encourage and support you to break general patterns to move you toward your goals. I work with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions.
In our first session together, I will inquire about your reasons for seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve from sessions. This helps me design a treatment plan based on your needs and what will work best to keep you engaged between sessions.
Having worked with the addictions population, the geriatric population, and children's outpatient mental health, this diverse clientele has allowed me to enhance my practice and become a well-rounded clinician through collaborative treatment approaches. I believe in creating a safe space for you to freely express yourself and discover your own abilities to heal. I have an obligation to help my clients find their inner strengths and empower them to improve their own lives.
I use an integrative approach involving Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. By using CBT, I will help bring awareness to thought patterns and feelings to motivate changes to improve your way of life. By using Solution-Focused Therapy, I will help you change by creating solutions rather than focusing on the problem.
