I absolutely love what I do and my life has meaning because I see people I council get in with their life and living in healthy and meaningful ways. I am truly here for you. Hi, I’m Demetria Agharese, and I help people who are tired of feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or disconnected from themselves find their way forward.
My ideal clients are adults who may look like they have it all together on the outside but are quietly struggling on the inside. You may be the person everyone depends on while privately battling anxiety, intrusive thoughts, OCD, self-doubt, burnout, relationship difficulties, or the pressure to constantly “hold it all together.”
Maybe your mind won’t shut off. You overthink every decision, question your feelings, replay conversations, worry about what might happen, or feel trapped by thoughts you wish you could turn off. Maybe you’re navigating a breakup, divorce, major life transition, low self-esteem, or simply wondering, “How did I lose myself?”
You don’t have to continue living that way.
I offer a warm, genuine, culturally responsive, and judgment-free space where you can put down the weight you’ve been carrying and talk openly about what’s really happening. I don’t believe therapy should feel like sitting across from someone who simply checks boxes on a diagnosis list. I believe you deserve to feel heard, understood, challenged when needed, and supported throughout the process.
Using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ERP, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, behavioral strategies, and mindfulness, I help clients break unhelpful cycles, face fears, manage difficult emotions, build confidence, establish healthier boundaries, and become less controlled by anxiety and uncertainty.
Most importantly, therapy with me is collaborative. I’m not here to tell you who you should be. I’m here to help you discover who you are, understand what matters to you, and develop the confidence to live accordingly.
If you’re ready to stop simply surviving and start creating a life that feels more peaceful, authentic, confident, and meaningful, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Hello, my name is Kelley Machado, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut. You may wonder what does Licensed Clinical Social Worker mean, what does that allow me to do? As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I have the unique opportunity to help people work through various points in their lives. I began my career working in the mental health system, then the criminal justice system, then onto medical social work including various medical issues as well as aging and end of life concerns.
I believe people can experience difficulties with coping whenever faced with a transition in life. These changes can include monumental transitions that are both good or bad, like a new job, new family members, loss, separations, disappointments, traumatic events, etc. These types of experiences can cause psychosocial distress which can have far-reaching impacts on many aspects of our lives. I have been trained and adopted many approaches to provide therapeutic support including cognitive-behavioral, attachment theory, developmental theory, trauma theory, and dialectical behavioral theory.
Change is not easy and embarking on change takes a tremendous amount of courage and actions. I congratulate you on your wish, strength, and wisdom for seeking help and taking this first step towards making a change in your life. If you are prepared to move beyond wishes and intentions to action and fulfillment- I am here to empower and support you to achieve your goals. My approach is individualized, and I recognize that every person brings their own unique experiences, strengths, and goals to therapy.
In addition to providing clinical services, I also serve as a clinical supervisor, supporting emerging clinicians as they develop their clinical skills, confidence, and professional identity.
Together, we will explore what brings you to therapy, identify the areas you would like to focus on, and develop an individualized treatment plan based on your needs and priorities.
I strive to provide a warm, supportive, strengths-based, and holistic approach to therapy. I believe that creating a genuine, comfortable therapeutic relationship is an important part of the process, and I am committed to showing up consistently and authentically as we work together toward meaningful change.
Let’s start tackling the stressors and challenges you’re facing together. For our virtual sessions, grab a coffee or tea, a snack, a heated blanket, your pet, a fidget, or whatever helps you feel comfortable and cozy from the comfort of your own home.
All are welcome here!
