"You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." -A.A. Milne We all struggle at times to see our inner strengths and capabilities due to the life experiences which have shaped us. I work in the belief that we each have everything we need to achieve a fulfilled and successful life already present within us; sometimes we just need a little help accessing it. Using a multi-modality approach I encourage my clients to work in the small steps, not the giant leaps, that bring us to self awareness, acceptance, and lasting change. I began my working career as an EMT in pre-hospital and Emergency Room settings. The desire to further my education and better serve my community led me to pursue becoming an LMFT. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandman University and a Master’s degree in Psychology with a dual emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Clinical Counseling from Brandman University. I have additional training and experience in Clinical Pastoral Education from the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base and have worked in both residential treatment and clinical settings. I have four sons and two grandchildren. In my off time I enjoy spending time in nature, photography, and attending baseball games with my husband of 25 years.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who believes that healing happens best in a space where you feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported. I don’t come to this work believing that life is easy or that growth happens without struggle—I’ve been through hard times myself, and those experiences shape the way I show up for my clients: with empathy, humility, and respect for how tough life can be. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based care. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed practices to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical skills for everyday life. I work at your pace, honoring your story and your strengths, not just your symptoms. I work with individuals, teens, and families experiencing emotional distress related to eating disorders, trauma, grief and loss, addiction, suicidal thoughts, relationship challenges, and family disturbances. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted, I aim to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing and find steadier ground. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you reconnect with your resilience, learn new ways to cope, and create a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and aligned with who you are. You don’t have to do this alone—I’d be honored to walk alongside you in your healing journey.

Most people don’t need more advice. They need space to slow down enough to hear what’s actually happening inside them. My work is less about fixing and more about listening; not just to the words, but to what’s underneath them. The pace of our conversations will be different from the rest of your life: slower, steadier, more honest. My goal is to help you come into contact with yourself again, to notice what’s true and what you really want.

Is this the first time you thinking about having therapy? Let's talk about what therapy is and is not. Tell me your expectations. Therapy is in part, talking about how you are feeling whether you have depression, anxiety, or feel overwhelmed by your work, family or relationships or by all three . But that is just the beginning. My name is Judith Copeland, I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I want to help you achieve the positive changes would you like to see in your life. Do you feel you cannot cope, have no self-esteem or don’t even know what will make you happy? Together we will uncover your strengths and you will learn the skills you need to better manage your emotions. I use several treatment methods including, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Integrative Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to tailor your care to your specific needs. We will explore what is holding you back from achieving your goals and help you heal from past traumas. You will learn how your negative beliefs influence your mood and get in the way of your happiness. Often, we forget that everything is connected. Mind, Body, and Spirit. We need to take care of ourselves physically, psychologically, and spiritually. We often don’t really understand how deeply connected they are to our well-being. I will help you learn that self-care is just as important and or even more important as everything else you do. We have within ourselves the ability to create the life we want and become the person we want to be. I would like to support you on this journey and look forward to meeting you.

I’m an LMFT/ CSAT/ CMAT doing private practice counseling and group therapy in Los Angeles. I’ve been a therapist for almost 7 years, experienced in treating sex/ porn addictions, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, substance use, ADHD, and church hurt in private practice, recovery clinics, and faith-based settings. As a CSAT, I pay special attention to intimacy disorders, and believe the best way to treat addiction, depression, or sin is about finding real hope and meaningful connection rather than “managing bad behaviors.” What I really want you to know about me is that I believe so much in the therapy process, because my life was changed forever by the counselors that have helped me to overcome my own mental health struggles. A little more about me that makes me who I am as a therapist? I was a pastor for 17 years and I feel humbled when I can come alongside ministry leaders in a crisis of faith. As a gay Christian, I’m especially proud to share my story with other LGBTQ+ individuals who long for self-acceptance and inclusion in the church. I was a songwriter in my younger days and enjoy finding creative ways to help people heal. I believe we find our greatest purpose in the center of our pain, and I will probably get super excited when you do too.

Hello, my name is Brigitta. I empower individuals to take back their lives by identifying their strengths, identity, and learn useful skills to help develop a future with hope and expectation. Together, we will explore what is making you stuck by utilizing a holistic approach and address issues of the mind, body, and spirit to strengthen you as an individual. I utilize elements of various modalities with each individual to find out where the wounds began, to close the doors to an unresolved past, to reframe negative core beliefs and its maladaptive influence, and to work towards healthy goals for your future. I can integrate faith-based counseling to build resilience and hope at your request. Our sessions will be a place of safety, growth, and rejuvenation for your soul. I will meet you with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach. As we build our therapeutic relationship, the process of healing and restoration will come. I cannot wait to meet you!
