Hello. I am a licensed social worker in California. I began practicing in the mental health/behavioral health field in 2011. I originally was licensed in Maryland in 2015 but then returned to California in 2016. Since starting in the field, I have worked with individuals ranging in age from 4 years old to 75 years old; most experience working with individuals between the ages of 10 and 35. I have experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, depression, anxiety, parenting problems, and relationship issues. I am an ally of the LGBTQI community and can provide a safe, telehealth space for them.
Unfortunately, at this time, I cannot accommodate individuals seeking letters for emotional support animals or those mandated by the court or legal system for therapy.
With that said, my goal in being a counselor, is to assist my clients in meeting their identified treatment needs. I am flexible and willing to do whatever I need to do to assist you and help you in any way that I can.
If when viewing my profile, you feel as though I am a good fit, but my schedule does not meet your scheduling needs, please feel free to send me a message as I may be able to fit you in at a different time. I work evenings and weekends.
I have a lot of life experience and had several careers before becoming a therapist, and I have traveled extensively. There isn't much I haven't seen or at least heard about. I try to provide a calm, nonjudgmental atmosphere for clients so they can feel free to say whatever is on their mind. Believe me when I say that if you've done a thing or thought about it, someone else has too. You are not alone.
I take a strength based approach to therapy, focusing on the strengths, values, and resilience you already have rather than only on problems. Together, we build on what is working to help you navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. This approach supports growth that feels both practical and personally aligned with who you are and your goals.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Dr. Norman Severe and I'm a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked in the local San Diego community for over 25 years. For the past 24 years, I have devoted my private practice to serving the mental health needs of children, adolescents and families in need of therapeutic and psychological support. I believe everyone can achieve great things in their lives by recognizing their strengths, working through struggles and overcoming obstacles by persevering and never giving up.
I specialize in the treatment of Anxiety, Depression and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder in children and adolescents as well as adults who have experienced trauma related to abuse, car accidents and/or witnessing and being exposed to life-threatening situations. I also specialize in treating individuals who identify as Neurodivergent and/or have specific learning differences.

I'm Danielle Nunes, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I see individual adults throughout the state by telehealth.
You lead people, make decisions, and carry responsibility for outcomes that affect other people's livelihoods. That does not stay containedinside the workday. My clients are founders, executives, business owners, physicians, attorneys, and managers who are successful by every outward measure and are carrying more than the people around
them realize. They come to me when a hard quarter starts to feel likea verdict on them, when an employee problem sits with them at dinner,or when they know exactly what conversation needs to happen and keep
putting it off.
I have been licensed since 2017 and have worked in behavioral health for more than a decade. I also spent years leading inside large organizations, responsible for teams, budgets, and outcomes. You will not have to explain why you cannot stop thinking about work.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in neuropsychology and psychological assessment. I earned my doctorate from Loma Linda University and completed clinical training at several leading hospitals across Southern California. My work centers on how the brain, physical health, and emotional well-being shape one another, and I bring that lens to therapy with adults who want to understand what is driving their difficulties and make changes that last. I work with adults across the lifespan facing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, and life transitions. My clinical interests include neurocognitive changes, ADHD, traumatic brain injury, neurological and medical conditions, and the complex relationship between cognitive functioning and emotional well-being. In practice, this often means helping clients adjust to a new diagnosis, cope with memory or attention concerns, chronic illness, or grief, and manage the strain of caregiving. My approach is integrative and goal-oriented. I draw on cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and humanistic therapies, matching the method to you rather than fitting you to one model.
Congratulations on taking steps to better yourself. My name is Vincent, and I'm a licensed therapist based in California with over 20 years of experience. I've helped everyone from high school teens to older adults overcome life challenges and gain a better understanding of their situation. I bring a wealth of experience and I'm here to support you.

Do you overthink, replay conversations, revisit past decisions, predict problems, spiral, or get stuck in patterns that create conflict or keep you avoiding what needs to be addressed?
You are thoughtful, observant, and more capable than you may currently feel. But the same mind that notices details, thinks ahead, and considers different possibilities can go into overdrive. You may feel on edge much of the time, dwell on the past, get irritated by small things, feel flat, or disconnect from things you once enjoyed. You may be going through this on your own or in a relationship with someone dealing with some of the same things.
You may avoid difficult conversations, put off issues, or end up in the same conflict. Shame, fear of rejection, or trouble communicating can make it difficult to say what you really think or need. We can work on skills to communicate better, explore the expectations you bring to relationships, and recognize roles and patterns you keep replaying. Those roles may have served you long ago, but they may need revision now.
I am Ramy Danon, a USC-trained Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 20 years of experience. Therapy with me is a real conversation. I listen carefully, ask questions, and tell you honestly what I see. I work with men, women, and couples, and I adapt the work to what is really bothering you and what you actually want to address.
I also taught university and college students for 19 years. I love helping people recognize their abilities and expand what they believe is possible. I understand how difficult it can be to trust someone, especially if you struggle to ask for help. Getting started may be the hardest part. I am eager to learn about what is bothering you.
Hello! Welcome to my page! I’m Yisook, a Clinical Social Worker with 23 years of counseling experience supporting diverse individuals and families. I hold deep respect for the uniqueness of every client and I approach each therapeutic relationship with authenticity, curiosity, and openness.

I’m Liz Allieu, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Alafia Wellness. I specialize in helping individuals navigate trauma, anxiety, and depression so they can heal, thrive, and live authentically. I provide a compassionate, action-oriented space where you can reconnect with your truth and begin to flourish. My style is warm, collaborative, and honest. I believe therapy should feel like both a sanctuary and a strategy session.
If you're in your 40s or 50s and feel like you no longer recognize yourself, you're not imagining it. Anxiety that seems to come out of nowhere, a shorter fuse, brain fog, poor sleep, low mood, and feeling like you've lost your spark are all common in perimenopause and menopause. Too often, women are told it's "just stress" or that they should push through.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 25 years of experience and a Certified Menopause Coach. I specialize in working with women in midlife who are navigating the emotional and mental health side of this transition, including anxiety, depression, and ADHD symptoms that often surface or intensify during these years.
In our work together, you'll have a space where your experience is taken seriously. I'll help you understand what's happening, build practical tools for managing mood, stress, and focus, and reconnect with who you are and what you want from this next chapter. I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches and tailor them to you.
Midlife can be more than something to get through. With the right support, it can be a time of clarity, confidence, and renewal. I'd be honored to help you thrive in it.
Hi everyone,
I’m a Therapist with 11 years of experience, two Master’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor’s from UC Berkeley. I have an absolute passion for working with people who deal with chronic pain/chronic health conditions, women facing infertility struggles, people who are experiencing issues in their sex life or their relationship or exploring alternative types of romantic relationships, and those suffering from over-worrying and anxiety. I am LGBTQ friendly and provide a safe space. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and playing towards your strengths.
My approach is grounded in helping you understand your thought patterns, where they may be a disservice to you and how to change them in order to create behavioral change. We’ll set clear goals together and break them down into doable steps, and I’ll be here to encourage you rather than judge you if things feel hard along the way. I also make a point of highlighting the strengths you already have and reminding you of them on the days you forget. Supporting people in feeling less alone, more understood, and genuinely heard is the part of this work that brings me joy.
Please note: I don’t provide couples counseling, but I do offer individual therapy focused on relationship concerns.

As a Latina therapist, I’m especially passionate about supporting first-generation and BIPOC individuals navigating anxiety, intergenerational trauma, and life transitions. My approach is rooted in meaningful, real conversation, creating a space where you can reflect, heal, and grow.
I primarily work with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, or relationship challenges. I believe meaningful change begins when you feel truly seen, understood, and supported on your path to healing.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with over 40 years of experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, and relationship challenges. I have extensive experience working with survivors of domestic violence, as well as individuals navigating complex life patterns shaped by past experiences.
I specialize in working with adults, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, and provide a supportive, affirming space where clients can show up as they are. I also work with couples on occasion. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I bring both professional and lived understanding to this work.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and direct. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. I often incorporate structured exercises and between-session practices to help you apply what we discuss in real life, while remaining flexible and responsive to your individual needs.
Clients often appreciate that I am clear, consistent, and gently persistent—I will meet you where you are, while continuing to support and encourage your growth, even when things feel difficult or overwhelming. My goal is to help you build insight, resilience, and confidence so you can create a more stable, fulfilling, and peaceful life.
I am committed to practicing with empathy, respect, and without judgment, honoring each person’s dignity and lived experience. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
Option to insert (after paragraph 2):
I love partnering with people on their journey to greatness. I use a strengths-based approach to help my clients see the choices that are always at their disposal to unlearn past harmful messaging or combat unrelenting present symptoms. As a Black woman, I always integrate the importance of diversity. Playing small to blend in doesn't serve anyone. Whether we're different based on external or internal attributes, we all need to embrace our beautiful and different qualities so that we can live an authentic life.
My work also focuses on boundaries, challenging thoughts, and improving communication skills. I integrate role plays, affirmations, accountability, and direct introspection exercises to aid clients in quieting the noise of societal norms to embrace their true joy. All sessions are client-focused, I don't come with my own agenda. I'm excited to help you live life with confidence on your own terms. I look forward to working with you.
Hi, my name is Mai Kou. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Are you experiencing depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, hardships, relationship issues, feeling lost or stuck? Sometimes we need someone to talk to about what we are going through, and we need a safe person we can share these things with without being judged. I would love to talk to you to help you improve your quality of life, mental health, self-esteem, self-love, skills, motivation, and help you achieve your goals. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet my client’s unique treatment needs. Below are a few therapeutic modalities that I use in therapy. I am currently taking new clients adults ages 18-64 for individual therapy and therapy sessions are via telehealth.
I have worked with children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families throughout my career. I have worked with the most severe mental illness population in an inpatient psychiatric facility, crisis stabilization center, and outpatient settings. I love being a therapist and I am very passionate at helping people.
My goal in my counseling is to help my clients live deeply fulfilling lives. I help clients increase their psychological flexibility through various tools and approaches including evidence-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to change their thought patterns. I use experiential approaches including Hypnotherapy to work with subconscious minds and remove blocks that are deep in their psyche. I also provide mindfulness training, which is one of the key techniques for the clients to be more present and accepting in their lives, rather than react reflexively.
Each individual's struggles are complex and tied to many factors including their social environment, their physical health, the phases of their lives, skills they already possess, etc. In other words, change can happen in a variety of ways and that's what counseling can help with, pointing out the direction and even the next steps that can help the client to get to their goals and intentions.
I work with clients experiencing sleep disorders, chronic pain, anxiety, mood issues, ADHD, career counseling, and those who simply need a tune-up.
It’s so nice to meet you!
I’m passionate about helping women reconnect with themselves, heal from what they’ve experienced, and create the relationships and life they truly want. Couples therapy is not billed through insurance.
I specialize in attachment, emotions, self-worth, and relationship patterns, including anxiety, grief, anger, shame, and difficulty feeling connected to yourself or others.
Over the past 7+ years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients as they gain a deeper understanding of themselves, break patterns that no longer serve them, build confidence, strengthen their boundaries, and develop healthier, more meaningful connections.
My hope is to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and supported—not only in navigating what is difficult, but in reconnecting with who you are and moving toward the life and relationships you want.

Hello! I'm Heidi and I have been a therapist for 32 years now. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have found this career in counseling and mental health because I love this work. That I get to help others along the way, is an absolute bonus! For much of my career I have been working with clients suffering from chronic mental illness. But I also have over 10 years of experience running a highly successful private practice as well. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the LGBTQ community, sexual abuse survivors, folks with dissociative identity disorder and clients who struggle with depression and personality disorders.
If you found your way here, it's likely that you are struggling to form healthy relationships in your adult life. Maybe you feel trapped by your past experiences and can't seem to move beyond them. You may have experienced a loss and are having difficulty navigating your grief. Or you might be unsure of what you are looking for but know that you want to live a more satisfying adult life. Whatever the case may be, we can work through it together. I'd like to help you improve the relationship you have with yourself and others and overcome painful past experiences.
I provide individual therapy virtually and in person to California residents from my offices in West Lake and Los Angeles. I'm trained in the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) and in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trauma therapy to address the identity distortions and relational patterns created as a result of childhood trauma.

The presenting issues I've worked on with Clients vary greatly but I have the most experience with mood disorders, life transitions, trauma, ADHD, anger management.
I am a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). In 1991, I obtained a B.H. in Social Psychology from The Universidad Autonoma de Baja California (Mexico). In 2008, I graduated from University of Phoenix with an M.A. in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy. I have more than 22 years of experience working with patients—including adolescents, parents, adults, and couples. My focus is on improving relationships and addressing mental or emotional issues such as depression, anxiety, phobias, trauma, psychosocial stressors, life challenges, and personal goals.
Welcome! My name is Jesus, I am a multi-state Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 5 years of experience working with adults. If you are struggling to cope with the challenges that are life, I am here to help you. I strongly believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all model, and because of this, I take a collaborative approach to meet my clients where they are to help get them where they want to be. My motto in life is, life is about making positive movements forward.
Welcome and thanks for stopping in. My name is Kristy, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and my pronouns are she/her/hers. My ancestry is both Native American and northern European. I have been working in this field since 2013 and I have seen how overwhelming life can feel these days. There are so many pressures at home, at school and work, with your relationships and in society at large! Have you been feeling stressed, anxious, and/or worried about your future? Perhaps you feel consumed with thoughts about how you compare to others and what others think of you? Is your mind full of racing thoughts about how you just might not be good enough? Or perhaps there is a relentless inner critic that won't let you off the hook? I know how this feels because I have been there myself and I can tell you it does not have to be this way. You can learn to develop a different kind of relationship with yourself: One in which you can learn how the mind works & how to navigate its unhelpful & painful patterns more effectively; one in which you can discover how to approach yourself with kindness & support--the way you would a good friend in pain; one in which you uncover your strengths, gifts & values and allow this self-knowledge to help you make decisions in your life of which you feel proud. Are you feeling ready to dive deeper into your unconscious patterns that are affecting the way you live? Are you thinking you do not want to do some of the same ineffective things in your life that perhaps your caregivers did? I invite you to reach out to begin this deeper exploration.

As a therapist, I deeply value creating a non-judgmental and safe space for my clients to explore their presenting concerns.
Anxiety, relationship issues, connection to your family, parenting, and life transitions are areas where I specialize and have extensive experience. Whether you're grappling with social anxiety, generalized anxiety, relationship challenges, or life transitions, I am here to provide guidance and assist you in developing effective coping strategies. Together, we can work towards reducing anxiety symptoms, improving relationship dynamics, and enhancing your overall well-being.
Therapy can be scary, but you are making the steps to start healing. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most important piece in the therapy process. I will provide a safe, non-judgmental space with empathy and compassion. I will work to empower you to have the confidence to face the challenges life throws at you while building healthy coping skills and self-talk. Looking forward to working with you!
I’m a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 15 years of experience in behavioral health. I work with adults and adolescents navigating trauma, grief, ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationship and family patterns, life transitions, codependency, identity, and spirituality.
My approach is warm, interactive, integrative, and trauma-informed. I draw from EMDR, parts-oriented work, CBT, motivational interviewing, attachment and relational therapy, mindfulness, and somatic practices, tailoring treatment to each person rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
My background in addiction treatment deepened my understanding of trauma, coping, and the protective strategies people develop to survive difficult experiences. I am also trained in yoga and have experience with meditation, breathwork, tai chi, and qi gong. When these practices fit a client’s needs and interests, they can become part of our work together.
