LMFT, 1 years of experience
As a biracial, Black and Mexican, female clinician, I understand the obstacles and barriers to healing the mind, body and soul; and leading an overall physically and mentally healthy life. I take a collaborative approach in helping individuals create life goals that they want to work towards. I aim to create a safe and non- judgmental space for individuals. If you feel as though you can benefit from learning how to develop positive ways to cope with anxiety, sadness, anger, low- self esteem, isolation, racing thoughts and more, please contact me for further information and a consultation. I look forward to starting this journey of healing with you
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and building a foundation of trust and comfort. I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, current concerns, and what led you to seek therapy at this time. We’ll also explore your goals and what you hope to gain from our work together. This session is a space for you to share at your own pace—there’s no pressure to disclose everything right away. I’ll also explain my approach to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and together, we’ll begin to shape a plan that feels supportive and aligned with your needs.
My greatest strengths as a therapist lie in creating a warm, affirming, and collaborative space where clients feel truly seen and heard. I integrate evidence-based approaches—such as CBT, EMDR, ACT, and mindfulness—with a personalized and flexible style that honors each client’s unique experience. I’m deeply attuned to the emotional and relational dynamics that shape a person’s life and growth, and I work with clients to uncover patterns, build insight, and foster lasting change. Clients often share that they feel both supported and empowered in our work together, and I strive to balance compassion with practical tools that promote real, meaningful progress.
My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to explore meaningful change and are open to self-reflection, even if the path feels challenging. I am experienced with working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship difficulties, as well as those navigating life transitions or seeking greater self-understanding. Many of my clients are motivated to break unhelpful patterns, improve emotional regulation, and build healthier relationships. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply seeking personal growth, I offer a supportive and nonjudgmental space to help you work toward your goals with intention and clarity.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) will be utilized to help clients process and reframe distressing memories that contribute to current emotional and psychological difficulties.
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) will be utilized to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to their emotional distress. Through structured interventions, clients will learn to reframe negative thinking, develop healthier coping strategies, and engage in more adaptive behaviors
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) will be utilized to help clients develop psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult thoughts and emotions rather than avoiding or struggling with them. Through mindfulness practices, values exploration, and committed action, clients will be supported in building a meaningful life aligned with their core values.
Interpersonal Therapy will be utilized to help clients improve the quality of their relationships and address interpersonal issues that may be contributing to emotional distress. By focusing on areas such as unresolved grief, role transitions, interpersonal disputes, and social skills, clients will learn to better communicate their needs, set healthy boundaries, and strengthen support systems
Mindfulness-Based Therapy will be utilized to help clients develop present-moment awareness and a nonjudgmental attitude toward their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations. Through mindfulness practices such as breathing exercises, guided meditation, and body scans, clients will learn to respond to stressors with greater calm and clarity.
