(she/her)
Hi. I’m Dia Yang, LCSW, licensed in California with over 12 years of professional work experience with individuals of various ages. I believe in maintaining wellness and balance in all areas of life, and that includes mental health and wellness. I have experience in helping individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship or parenting issues, coping with grief and loss, lacking motivation and seeking personal development, change & confidence or just managing daily life stressors. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, compassion, and empathy. I will tailor our dialogue and your treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. We’ll work together at your pace and I’ll provide tools to help you navigate difficult situations, manage symptoms, and achieve goals. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started. I look forward to working with you!
In our first session together, I will complete a psychosocial assessment to better understand your life situation, background, and support system. This will allow me to better help you as we progress with therapy. We will also develop a treatment plan to address your stressors and goals to ensure our future sessions meet your needs.
My area of strength is meeting you where you are with unconditional positive regard while providing you with a safe space to share your challenges (past and present) without feeling judged. I will also help you process your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and help you identify unhealthy patterns of behavior and negative beliefs that have impaired your ability to be your best self. I have experience and am very comfortable working with people from different walks of life (social-economic backgrounds, ethnicities, cultural affiliations, gender identities, ages and more). I see you as a unique individual and will work together with you at your pace to help you through challenges and get to an overall better place. An area I have extensive experience working with clients through is important life changes in relationships, careers, parenting, and grief and loss. I also have many tools for those experiencing depression, anxiety and OCD. I am open to helping you through your stressors and challenges no matter how difficult or even embarrassing you may think the topic is. My goal is to help you through your challenges and to an overall place in your life so you can be a better version of yourself.
