Welcome. I’m really glad you’re here.
Starting therapy takes courage, curiosity, and a willingness to look at things honestly. If you’re here, you’re already doing something meaningful for yourself.
My background is eclectic. I’ve worked in foster care, hospitals, hospice, and healthcare leadership, which means I’ve supported people through some of life’s most overwhelming and transformative moments. Those experiences shaped how I show up as a therapist: grounded, compassionate, and very human.
In our work together, I’ll ask thoughtful and sometimes challenging questions to help you uncover patterns, build insight, and create real change. I also believe strongly in humor. Therapy can hold hard things while still leaving room for lightness, laughter, and relief. Both matter.
I’m also a mom, which gives me a deep appreciation for the complexity of balancing relationships, responsibilities, identity, and self-care. I have a strong interest in technology, including AI, and I enjoy thoughtfully incorporating tools and strategies that help people feel more supported, organized, and empowered outside of session, when appropriate.
Therapy is collaborative. You bring your lived experience, and I bring perspective, curiosity, and support. We’ll work at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on growth that is meaningful, practical, and sustainable.
You’ve already taken an important step by being here. I look forward to working together.

Sometimes, the most profound connections are formed when someone truly listens.I’m Cintia, here not just to hear, but to deeply understand you. In a world where trauma and anxiety often drown out our inner voices, I know that beneath the spoken words, lies a heart’s true narrative.
What a degree in Clinical Psychology and a seven-year journey as a therapist has allowed me to is delve deep into the realms of trauma, anxiety, and depression. While I am deeply humanistic, I also frequently employ elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge clients' negative self-talk, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help them navigate big feelings. Additionally, I am trained in EMDR, which is an invaluable tool for clients struggling with trauma.
PLEASE NOTE: I am a Gerontological Counselor.

By actively listening, providing tailored support, and encouraging self-determination, I can help older adults maintain their autonomy and confidence. Resilience is nurtured through meaningful connections, purposeful activities, and a focus on strengths rather than limitations. I am committed to honoring an individual's experiences, celebrating their uniqueness, and creating environments where people feel valued and capable. I challenge stereotypes about aging and promote a vision of later life filled with possibility and fulfillment.
When booking a session with me you can expect to be greeted with openness and comfortability. I am a very personable person and aim to ease you into our therapy journey. I provide a safe, relaxing environment where you will feel comfortable uncovering the issues you are experiencing.

My approach to therapy is grounded in the spirit of Humanistic therapy. Humanistic Therapy is based on the core belief that people are good at heart and capable of making the right choices for themselves. In therapy, this belief leads me to focus on each individual’s unique point of view and how this view can impact their choices. It further emphasizes the importance of being our authentic selves to live the most fulfilling life. I strive to create a safe environment to help clients feel comfortable to express their thoughts/emotions. I am genuine, friendly, nonjudgmental, empathetic, and interactive. I believe I am easy to talk to as I am casual in my style, but direct and focused when it comes to our work together.
My journey to becoming a therapist began with my own therapy that I received as a youth and young adult; it was life-changing. I worked with a therapist that was completely accepting and non-judgmental of my faults/shortcomings and helped me work past and accept them. Because of this experience, I wanted to give back and provide the same nonjudgment safe space, and acceptance to others.
