Hello,
You may have often heard some people say that therapy is for only those with a mental illness or are "crazy".
I'm Mark G. Koch and have been a licensed Marriage Family Therapist since 1996, and I can honestly tell you that those type of statements are a myth. Everyone has a view of how the world works and we use the tools we have to deal with our issues, but occasionally there comes a time when a problem arises that we have no answer to. At this point we become "stuck". You can say that these are the cards life has dealt you and do nothing, or you can get help to learn new ways to see your world and use new tools to change your world. You have the strength and you have the power and somewhere in your mind, you have the answers. My job is to help you find them and to show you how to use them, so that you can begin to move towards whatever your goals are for your world.
I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including private practice, psychiatric hospitals, County Mental Health, non-profit organizations and most recently utilizing remote virtual therapy. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups. My expertise in is Obsessive Compulsive Disorders and other Anxiety Disorders along with Depression, but I also have had a multitude of experience with Personality Disorders, Bi-Polar Disorders, and with dual diagnosis. A dual diagnosis is when a person has a mental health issue such as depression, and is also dealing with a drug/alcohol issue. Having said all of this, I actually have had a great amount of success dealing with adolescents, those having relationship issues, and communication between couples. I look forward to hearing from you.
My career as a classroom teacher, assistant principal and university professor served me well in my current practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I earned my Doctorate in Education/Ed.D. from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. As a university professor, I became the Multiple Subject Program Director, Graduate Reading Director, and Supervisor of Student Teachers with both national and international publications.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician (NATC), and Personality Disorder Treatment Provider (C-PD). I create a supportive space where clients can process complex trauma, including betrayal trauma, and difficult family-of-origin patterns.
I assist individuals recovering from environments shaped by abuse, abandonment, instability, fear, and coercive control. My work focuses on complex relational and family dynamics, including enmeshment, trauma bonds, narcissistic family systems, and addiction—often linked to intergenerational trauma and nervous system dysregulation. I support clients in normalizing their emotions, feeling validated, and building greater resilience. I am certified as a DBT Clinician (C-DBT), Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), Mood Disorder Professional (CMDP), ADHD Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), and Autism Spectrum Clinical Specialist (ASDCS).
I grew up in an environment with people who never discussed mental health; this sparked an early interest in the unspoken challenges I observed. As a dual major in psychology and sociology, my coursework was impactful. The lessons continued in graduate school, where I earned dual master’s degrees in social work and public administration. I interned at a domestic abuse shelter, a residential crisis center, and a community behavioral health facility, and completed specialized trauma-informed care training.
My professional experience includes serving as a psychotherapist for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault; a behavioral specialist for children with autism, ADHD, and adjustment challenges; and a supervisor for social workers in county behavioral health. Additionally, I have led interdisciplinary teams of social workers and nurses in complex medical case management, and managed public health teams of case investigators, contact tracers, data analysts, and nurses during infectious disease outbreaks.
I am deeply committed to helping clients improve from psychological and emotional harm, recognizing the serious impact these experiences can have on overall well-being.
If you’re feeling anxious, down, stuck in old patterns, or overwhelmed by racing thoughts, you’re not alone—and things can get better. Therapy can help you feel calmer, clearer, and more like yourself again.

Hello and welcome! I am a doctor of Psychology, a licensed marriage and family therapist and a licensed professional clinical counselor. I am located in California and have 14 years of experience in helping individuals navigate their emotional challenges through various evidence-based treatment methods. My goal is to empower you to understand yourself better, heal from past traumas, and improve your relationships, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling life.
My name is Lauren Alonzo, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I graduated from California Lutheran University in 2018 and have seven years of experience helping clients identify the barriers that are preventing them from living life as their true, authentic self. I aim to normalize mental health struggles and remove the stigma that so often prevents individuals from seeking help.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience as a psychotherapist, complemented by my background as a veteran of the United States Armed Forces. My clinical training includes a Master’s in Social Work with a focus on Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality, which informs my understanding of how diverse life experiences shape individuals’ perspectives and interactions with their environments. This foundation allows me to approach therapy with cultural humility and a deep appreciation for the complexities of identity and systemic influences.
In my practice, I utilize a person-centered, solution-focused approach that prioritizes client autonomy and self-determination. I collaborate closely with clients to identify their unique challenges and barriers, empowering them to develop realistic and meaningful short-term and long-term goals. Together, we explore and optimize the therapeutic tools that clients have already been using, while considering the introduction of additional strategies when appropriate. My goal is to support clients in creating actionable plans that align with their values and aspirations, fostering resilience and sustainable growth in both their present lives and future endeavors.
I'm a Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with 19 years of clinical experience, 15 years licensed within private practice.
I consider myself to be bicultural. Having been raised as a first-generation American in a Latin family, I can identify with the mentality of someone living within two "worlds". Transitioning from one culture to another with seemingly different values, beliefs and language. I can easily understand the struggle that maintaining, and existing in both, can sometimes be. I've come to perceive and appreciate it as the gift of having a "bridge" that allows connection to, and understanding of, different aspects of people and life.
My education has a foundation in Clinical Psychology, woven with holistic transpersonal themes, the connection between mind, body, and spirit, and just plain down-to-earth common sense. Always keeping in mind the client's personal beliefs and values.
