Do you often feel overwhelmed, stuck in your thoughts about the past or future, or overly critical of yourself? You don’t have to navigate this alone. I work with ambitious adults who want to regain control, find balance, and move forward with confidence. Together, we can explore strategies to manage stress, build resilience, and create positive change in your life.
I have a passion for learning, helping and growing with you. Hi, I'm Jaclyn, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, perfectionism, and self-esteem. I am passionate about helping people build a healthier relationship with food, their bodies, and themselves so they can spend less time struggling and more time engaging in the things that matter most to them.
Many of the clients I work with feel exhausted by constant self-criticism, food and body thoughts, anxiety, or the pressure to get everything "right." I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who practiced for ten years in a nationally recognized outpatient healthcare clinic before beginning my solo practice. After completing my Bachelor’s degree in psychology at Chapman University, I decided to change careers and pursue a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Working for the clinic provided an extraordinary learning environment and allowed me to benefit from collaboration with amazing clinicians who share my passion to help others. I now continue to utilize the skills and experience I've accumulated to share these benefits with my clients.
As a therapist, I work with my patients to establish a foundation of mindfulness. We begin here to increase awareness and reduce judgements of the self and others. I take a collaborative approach with my clients, allowing autonomy in all aspects of treatment; while holding them accountable. I provide clear action steps after session to facilitate and foster a culture of implementation of skills and topics covered in sessions. After all, this is your life! Who know's it better than you.

All things are interconnected. To feel better, you have to act better. To feel better, you have to think better. To think better, you have to feel better. To act better, you have to think better. To think, feel, and act better, you have to care for your physical health. To care for your physical health, you have to think, feel, and act better. Each has a corresponding effect on the other. However, the aspect of ourselves that we have the most direct control of is what we do, our acting. While we can influence other people, we cannot control other people. A great source of conflict and unhappiness results from our efforts to control others. If you want better relationships, the only thing we can control is what we do, how we choose to relate. We are responsible for what we do. Others are responsible for what they do. Accepting this fundamental reality and thinking, feeling, and acting in accordance with it is how we increase our experience of power, freedom, belonging, meaning and, very importantly, fun.
