About me

I have been working in the mental health field since 2009 and completed my Master’s in Counseling Psychology in 2013. Throughout my career, I’ve supported individuals experiencing severe mental illness, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and bipolar disorder. My passion lies in helping youth and adults navigate life transitions and the emotional shifts that often accompany them. I view therapy as a collaborative space to explore frustration, mood changes, low motivation, anger, and the many complex feelings that emerge during periods of change. My goal is to provide a supportive, grounded environment where clients can deepen insight, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward meaningful, sustainable growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building the foundation for our work together. It gives you a chance to ask questions, get a sense of my style, and understand what therapy with me may feel like. It also allows me to start learning about you—your history, your concerns, and what brings you in at this time. During this initial meeting, I typically ask a variety of questions, explore background information, and gather details that will help us tailor treatment to your needs. We will also review confidentiality, discuss any immediate concerns, and begin shaping a plan for your therapeutic goals. My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling informed, supported, and clear about what our work together can look like moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is supporting young adults and individuals navigating major life transitions—whether adjusting to sobriety, moving through divorce, redefining identity, or managing shifting roles and relationships. I also bring extensive experience in working with clients who live with mood-related challenges, including Bipolar I and Bipolar II disorder, and I approach this work with clinical depth, compassion, and respect for each individual’s lived experience. What truly stands out about my therapeutic approach is its flexibility and intentionality. I draw from an eclectic blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), thought-challenging exercises, structured worksheets, and targeted workbook assignments. This allows me to integrate methods that best support you—your learning style, your needs, and the pace of your wellness journey. My goal is to provide tools that are practical, empowering, and immediately applicable to daily life. I am also skilled in helping clients understand their mental health diagnoses and what these mean for long-term wellbeing. I frequently collaborate with psychiatric providers and care teams to ensure treatment is coordinated, clear, and aligned with your goals. This integrated approach supports meaningful progress, improved emotional regulation, greater stability, and sustainable wellness. Above all, I aim to create a therapeutic space that is grounding, collaborative, and affirming—where you feel supported, understood, and equipped to create lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have experience working with youth from ages 12 to 18 as well as young adults and adults in transition. My experience ranges from ages 12-40. Although there are many different changes that we go through in life, the emotional fatigue and changes that we as humans experience are similar in biological and cognitive responses.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Sometimes our thoughts work against us. The idea of Cognitive behavior therapy is that our thoughts, both intentional, and subconscious, influence our behaviors, and sometimes the opposite as well. CBT can support being able to interrupt this process to improve our mood, behaviors, interactions, and relationships.
