I help high-achieving adults who seem to have it all together. They have promotions, busy schedules, and always say, "I'm fine," but still feel anxious, tense, or quietly worn out. You might be the person everyone counts on. Maybe your life looks impressive from the outside, but it leaves you feeling drained inside. My approach is direct, approachable, and warm. I ask honest questions, share what I notice, and avoid vague therapy language. You don’t have to put on a front or worry about my feelings during our sessions. Together, we’ll figure out what’s really behind your anxiety, such as perfectionism, taking on too much, fear of falling behind, people-pleasing, or burnout, and practice real skills you can use right away. I also help with trauma and depression, even when it doesn’t look like the usual idea of "struggling." Sometimes, what seems like anxiety is actually a nervous system that’s been on high alert for a long time. It’s important to understand this, not just try to manage it. I draw on psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy to help us understand how your patterns started and why they continue. I also use CBT to give you practical tools you can use now. I’m trained in Brainspotting (Phase 1), which can help when anxiety or tension shows up in your body and talking hasn’t helped enough. I help high-achieving adults who seem to have it all together. They have promotions, busy schedules, and always say, "I'm fine," but still feel anxious, tense, or quietly worn out. You might be the person everyone counts on. I've been a therapist for about eight years with a keen eye for helping others find deeper meaning through their hardships, a calming presence capable of modeling self-regulation, and a reliable ear for those that need to unload their perceived stress across different life chapters. I also offer a modern, diverse openness for cultural understanding as I am a male Latino fluent in Spanish, have Asian ethnicity, and am first-generation American. I can also empathize with perceived struggles as I grew up with low SES, was greatly affected by a custody battle into my teenage years, and became the primary healthcare agent for my father-figure until his passing from cancer during my early twenties. In more recent years, I learned the differences in transitioning from the role of a stepfather to becoming a father of a newborn. Understanding one's own pain from their story is key to learning the balancing act of validating and/or differentiating how to help others process their felt pain. I offer my therapeutic services as your existential teammate who will metaphorically walk by your side along your therapeutic journey.

For the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside children, teens, young adults, and adults as they navigate life’s many challenges. I use an eclectic approach, which simply means I pull from different types of therapy models depending on what fits each person best. No two people are the same, so together we’ll find tools and approaches that work for your life and goals. Sometimes that looks like building new coping skills, sometimes it’s unpacking trauma, and sometimes it’s just having a space where you can fully be yourself. My goal is to create a safe and collaborative space where clients feel truly heard, seen and understood. Together, we can explore patterns, uncover strengths, and build strategies for lasting change. I believe therapy is not just about addressing struggles, it’s about cultivating growth, resilience, and self-discovery. If you’re ready to take that step, I’d be honored to walk with you on your journey.

With over to 20 years of experience working alongside children, teens, adults, and families, I’ve learned the importance of meeting people exactly where they are, whether mentally, emotionally, or sometimes even physically. My “out-of-the-box” approach is flexible and adaptable to each individual's unique needs, offering creative, client-centered strategies where you can feel safe, supported, and empowered to explore at your own pace. My journey began in community-based settings, working with individuals and families often navigating complex systems. That foundation shaped my core belief: to show up to each session with curiosity and deep respect for each person’s unique story. My approach has always been to meet clients where they are, helping them discover healthier coping mechanisms and become more effective in their daily lives. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. I tailor each session to your unique needs, integrating different modalities to support your growth in ways that feel natural and accessible to you. As your therapist, I show up as my authentic self, with the intention of creating a space where you feel safe, supported, and empowered to explore at your own pace. Maybe you’ve done a lot of thinking about yourself or your relationships, but still find yourself falling into the same patterns, or feeling stuck in places you can’t quite explain. Maybe you’re tired of overthinking, second-guessing yourself, or trying to hold everything together on your own. I work with individuals and couples who want to understand themselves more deeply, heal what’s keeping them stuck, and feel more connected to themselves and the people they love. My approach is warm, relational, and rooted in attachment. I believe therapy isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong” with you. It’s about getting curious about the patterns you’ve developed, understanding why certain things feel so difficult, and making sense of the experiences that shaped you. Together, we’ll explore what’s underneath the ways you think, feel, and relate to others, so you can move through your life with more clarity, self-trust, and freedom.

Understand, Reframe, and Navigate Human Behavior. Human behavior is rarely random. The way we communicate, react, withdraw, persuade, accommodate, or push back usually serves a purpose, even when the pattern is creating problems in our lives. I work with people navigating complicated relationship dynamics, particularly when boundaries, persuasion, control, or manipulation have become part of the equation. Sometimes that means recognizing how someone else’s behavior is influencing you. Other times, it means taking an honest look at patterns in your own behavior and understanding what keeps them going. You may have noticed that you’ve already considered change. Maybe you understand what you should do but find yourself responding the same way anyway. Maybe you keep giving in, questioning yourself, or getting pulled into interactions that leave you wondering what just happened. Therapy with me is about looking beneath the behavior rather than reducing it to a label. We’ll examine what drives the pattern, what it accomplishes, and how you can respond more deliberately. From a young age, I’ve been drawn to people—their stories, their emotions, and the quiet places where they carry their pain. After experiencing my own seasons of grief and change, I realized how powerful it can be to have someone walk beside you through it. Becoming a therapist felt less like a decision and more like a calling to offer the support I once needed myself. Today, I’m honored to hold space for others as they navigate loss, healing, and the search for themselves again.

I enjoy working collaboratively to develop goals that are realistic, meaningful, and lead to positive change. I view therapy as a journey—one that helps you find steadier footing and supports you as you move along your unique path. Although much of my background has been in public service settings working with severe mental illness, acute crises, and trauma, I welcome concerns of any size. No problem is too small or too overwhelming to bring into therapy. I invite you to give the therapy process a chance to work for you! I have been in the behavioral health field for more than 30 years and have been licensed since 2012. I have a practical, down-to-Earth style with an open-minded, solution focused approach. There is likely no issue too complicated or difficult for me to work with. I like to establish a clear treatment path with attainable goals, making it easier for you. I encourage you to give the therapy process a chance to work for you. My goal is to offer steady support and thoughtful guidance as you discover a healing path that truly fits your life. While life can be challenging, you don’t have to navigate it alone—therapy can provide a safe space to find clarity, resilience, and hope.

My name is Danielle McGowan, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have experience working with all age individuals in their crisis, trauma, or desire for change. I specialize in adjustment, trauma, grief, anxiety, and understanding behavior patterns that are set from childhood and family systems. Suicidal ideation, depression, life change, and chronic mental health diagnosis are also some of my expertise. The most common practices include cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, solution-focused, trauma focused CBT, attachment, motivational interviewing, and grief work. I appreciate using psychodynamic and family systems therapies in order to help my clients understand their engrained perspective of the world around them from their past experiences. I am comfortable working with various levels of trauma and life experiences. I am also comfortable working with first responders, health and wellness professionals, educators, veterans, students, parents, grandparents, and people handling unexpected life changes. I provide an easy-to-engage environment that is down-to-earth and client-led. Things are discussed at a pace comfortable for the client. Telepsych sessions only, which allow for sessions to be held conveniently.

A little about me: I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who, come to find out, originally got into this field largely to figure myself out. If you’ve never heard that from a therapist before, it’s actually a pretty common thread among us, we often subconsciously step into healing others as a way to find healing within ourselves. About 22 years ago, I was diagnosed with Complex PTSD, and roughly 15 years ago, I received an OCD diagnosis. Having these two conditions overlap made things incredibly challenging throughout much of my life and if I’m being completely honest, navigating that balance can still have its moments today. But there’s something powerful about a wounded healer: we tend to want more for ourselves and for the people we serve than just standard, status-quo talk therapy. We dig deeper because we need real answers on a personal level, and once we find what works, we want to share it with the world.

Many of the clients I work with are carrying a lot. They may look like they're functioning on the outside—working, parenting, caregiving, and showing up for others—while internally feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California with 10 years of experience supporting individuals through life's challenges and transitions. I work primarily with adults navigating relationship stress, communication difficulties, grief in its many forms, burnout, identity development, and the emotional weight of trying to "hold it all together." Many of my clients are asking themselves questions like: Who am I outside of survival mode? How do I show up as my best self? How do I communicate my needs more clearly and create healthier relationships? My goal is to provide a supportive space where clients can better understand themselves, build practical tools for navigating life's challenges, and create meaningful, sustainable changes that align with the person they want to be.

Hi! I am so glad you're here. Are you looking for a therapist you can connect with and will help you grow? I am passionate about helping teens and adults heal from traumatic experiences and overcome mental health challenges. It takes a lot of bravery to ask for help and examine your patterns of behavior. It is a honor to walk alongside clients and help them create meaningful change and healing. I am trained in the cutting edge treatment method of EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). EMDR is primarily used to help treat and heal trauma, anxiety, phobias, and distressing life events. Many of the clients report symptom relief through EMDR that they were previously unable to achieve in talk therapy alone, I would love to talk more and see if EMDR is a good fit for you!
