With nearly 20 years of experience working with individuals, children, teens, and families, I have been actively focusing on teletherapy for the past 5 years, ensuring that clients receive high-quality care and support regardless of their location. My career began in community-based therapy, where my out-of-the-box style was nurtured and reinforced. In these settings, families, teens, and children often felt labeled as hopeless, both internally and externally by agencies such as schools, social services, and probation. My approach has always been to meet clients where they are, both literally and figuratively, helping them discover better coping mechanisms and become more effective in their lives. I provide a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions, gaining insight and tools to manage them effectively. My approach to therapy is flexible, out of the box, and adaptable to each individual's unique needs. I prioritize creating a comfortable environment where clients feel at ease expressing themselves, helping them achieve meaningful and lasting change in their lives.
During our initial session, we will begin by discussing your reasons for seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve. Whether this is your first time attending therapy or you've been before, we'll take the time to get to know each other and address any questions or concerns you may have about the therapeutic process. If you've had previous experiences with therapy, we'll review those together, discussing any progress made and challenges faced. Together, we'll collaborate to tailor our approach to best meet your current needs and goals, ensuring that our sessions are meaningful and effective for you.
Through a collaborative relationship, your priorities, values, and perspectives are at the forefront of each session. As a provider, I prioritize authentically and transparently connecting with clients, establishing a safe and supportive environment conducive to exploration and healing. Bringing uncomfortable thoughts and emotions to the surface can be intimidating and overwhelming, but utilizing evidence-based techniques, we work to shift thinking and behavior to improve mood, functioning, and a sense of well-being. Using a solution-focused lens, we draw from the strengths, experiences, and abilities you already possess rather than attempting to build new skills from scratch. Together, we will identify your goals and establish the steps so you can reach those goals. Additionally, I provide a compassionate and nonjudgmental space for you to explore past traumatic experiences, helping you process the associated emotions and reactions while gradually building resilience and coping strategies to regain a sense of safety and empowerment in your life. We explore patterns of attachment and interpersonal dynamics, aiding your understanding of how early relationships influence your current experiences and relationships.
My goal as a therapist is to assist you in achieving your goals, but I recognize that building trust is the cornerstone of successful therapy. While it would be ideal for you to feel comfortable with me from the outset, establishing this rapport often requires more than one session. I value direct and honest feedback and commit to providing authenticity in all our meetings. To enhance your progress, each session will conclude with therapeutic assignments tailored to your needs, which we will review together in our next meeting. These therapeutic practices are tailored to each individual and their specific preferences, taking into account lifestyle and the client's personal goals, ultimately setting you up for success. When engaging with clients experiencing crises or those with limited time in therapy, I recognize the importance of promptly developing a structured plan. This involves collaboratively setting clear goals and identifying specific interventions to address immediate concerns. The integration of therapeutic techniques facilitates the exploration and modification of maladaptive thought patterns, contributing to the overall crisis resolution and goal achievement process. Moreover, I draw from the principles of DBT, which places a strong emphasis on mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. Incorporating DBT into my framework allows me to provide clients with a comprehensive set of skills to manage intense emotions and navigate challenging interpersonal situations. This approach is particularly beneficial for individuals struggling with emotional dysregulation or difficulties in interpersonal relationships. Throughout the therapeutic process, I actively encourage clients to envision a positive and achievable future. By incorporating Solution-Focused techniques, I guide clients in articulating their aspirations and collaboratively developing a roadmap to realize those goals. The focus on building a vision for the future is complemented by offering unwavering support as clients identify and cultivate the necessary skills, resources, and abilities to successfully navigate their journey toward personal growth and fulfillment. My therapeutic approach emphasizes the importance of goal setting, crisis intervention, and the cultivation of skills for emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. Through this integrative framework, I strive to empower clients to not only overcome immediate challenges but al

Within this integrative approach, I prioritize understanding and addressing the interconnected relationships between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as emphasized in CBT.
I incorporate Solution-Focused Therapy principles to foster a proactive and goal-oriented atmosphere, particularly when working with clients facing crisis situations or those seeking short-term interventions.
In session we focus on accepting the uncontrollable aspects of life, such as thoughts and feelings, without judgment or struggle. By acknowledging these experiences, individuals can conserve energy and redirect it towards taking meaningful actions aligned with their values in areas they can control, such as relationships, health, and personal growth. Through this process, ACT aims to enhance psychological flexibility and promote a more fulfilling life.
In attachment therapy sessions, I work collaboratively with you to explore patterns of attachment and interpersonal dynamics, helping you understand how early relationships influence your current experiences and relationships.
