Welcome! I’m Dr. La Toshia Palmer, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Beyond Greatness Global. I provide compassionate, culturally responsive therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, creating a supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow. My therapeutic approach is strengths-based, person-centered, and tailored to each client’s unique needs, experiences, and goals. At the heart of my practice is the belief that every person has the capacity for growth. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals with complex and high acuity mental health needs. My work is grounded in trauma informed and trauma responsive care, with a strong commitment to creating inclusive, affirming spaces for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent clients, and individuals in rural communities. I work across the lifespan, including children (7+), adults, older adults, families, and couples. My approach is collaborative and empowering, centered on the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives and require my clinical expertise. I often describe my role as “working myself out of a job” to help clients build the insight, skills, and confidence needed to advocate for themselves and navigate systems independently. As a trauma specialist, I tailor evidence based interventions to each client’s identities, needs, strengths, and goals. My primary approaches include Somatic Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)-(EMDRIA certification pending), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. I also integrate Internal Family Systems informed interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, exposure based strategies, mindfulness, and other approaches as clinically appropriate. I adapt treatment for neurodivergent clients and clients with intellectual or developmental disabilities because therapy should adjust to the person and not require the person to adjust to therapy. I am continually shaped by the courage, insight, and lived experiences clients bring into our work. Every advanced training, specialty, certification, and state license reflect lessons learned from clients. I carry their trust, stories, and influence into every session with gratitude and responsibility. You may be at an inflection point—a place where something has changed, something that used to work no longer does, or you know you’re ready for something different but aren’t yet sure what comes next. I work especially well with adults who are used to carrying a lot, taking care of others, or pushing through difficult situations and have reached a point where their usual way of coping no longer feels sustainable. My approach combines thoughtful exploration with practical direction. We take the time to understand what is happening and why, while also keeping sight of what you want to be different. The goal is therapy with insight and movement—understanding yourself more clearly and using that understanding to make meaningful changes in your life.

Hi, I'm Jaclyn, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, perfectionism, and self-esteem. I am passionate about helping people build a healthier relationship with food, their bodies, and themselves so they can spend less time struggling and more time engaging in the things that matter most to them. Many of the clients I work with feel exhausted by constant self-criticism, food and body thoughts, anxiety, or the pressure to get everything "right." They may find themselves stuck in cycles of restriction, binge eating, emotional eating, people-pleasing, or perfectionism, despite their best efforts to change. My goal is to help clients better understand the patterns keeping them stuck while developing practical tools to create meaningful and lasting change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, self-compassion work, and values-based approaches to help clients develop greater awareness, emotional resilience, and flexibility. I believe that lasting change is most sustainable when it comes from a place of understanding and self-compassion rather than shame or self-judgment. Therapy with me is not about achieving perfection. Instead, it is about learning how to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, self-awareness, and kindness toward yourself. Whether you are struggling with an eating disorder, body image concerns, anxiety, or feeling disconnected from yourself, I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where healing and growth can occur. Reaching out for support can be difficult, and I am honored to walk alongside clients as they move toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life. This sounds polished for Grow while still feeling like you—warm, compassionate, and clearly focused on eating disorders and body image work.

Hello, I'm Dr. Scheherazade Pheng, a licensed Clinical and Forensic Psychologist with more than 20 years of experience helping adults across California. My work has been at the intersection of mental health, the criminal justice system, and the families whose lives are deeply affected by it. One of the things that matters most to me is making quality mental health care accessible. I welcome clients with a variety of insurance plans because I believe the support you receive should never depend on the insurance card you carry. Throughout my career, I have learned two important truths. When one person enters the criminal justice system, an entire family is impacted. Parents, spouses, grandparents, and children often carry overwhelming stress, grief, fear, and uncertainty while trying to keep moving forward. I have also seen that many communities near California's prisons and detention facilities have limited access to mental health care, despite having a tremendous need for support. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, anger, shame, or the emotional challenges of loving someone who is incarcerated, you will find a compassionate and judgment-free space in my practice. Together, we'll work toward healing, greater clarity, and renewed hope. You deserve support just as much as the people you care about, and I'm here to help when you're ready. Dr. Pheng is also the author of The Other Side of the Wall: A Healing Guide for Families of Incarcerated Loved Ones, available at thriveinstitutefbh.com.

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine. Though my title says "Marriage and Family," my door is open to individuals, couples, and families alike, because pain doesn't always fit neatly into one category, and neither does healing. My clients often arrive having carried their struggles alone for far too long. Maybe it's crushing stress that follows them from morning to night. Maybe it's anxiety that hums beneath the surface, never quite letting them rest. Maybe it's a relationship that once felt like home but now feels like a battlefield. Or maybe there's no name for it at all, just a quiet, persistent sense that something isn't right. I understand that place. I've sat with people in their darkest moments, in psychiatric facilities, in schools, in the quiet corners of their own lives, and I've witnessed both profound suffering and extraordinary resilience. I've learned that healing rarely happens in a single breakthrough. It happens in the steady, patient work of being seen, understood, and challenged to grow. Now in private practice, I offer something different from the quick fixes and surface-level solutions that so often leave people feeling unheard. I offer sustained, meaningful work, the kind that takes time, honesty, and courage. Whether you're navigating anxiety, stress, relationship wounds, or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to walk alongside you. Not to rush you. Not to judge you. But to help you find your way back to yourself, one honest conversation at a time.

I’m Michelle, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, major life transitions, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationships, and questions around identity and belonging. I have a particular interest in working with first-generation individuals, children of immigrants, and Asian Americans navigating the intersections of culture, identity, family, and emotional well-being. My approach is what I like to call “soft but strong.” I want therapy to be a space where you feel safe enough to slow down, reflect, explore your thoughts and feelings, and simply be yourself—especially if you’ve spent much of your life being the one who was told you were “mature for your age,” the responsible one, or the one who always had it together. At the same time, I believe growth sometimes asks us to step outside of what feels comfortable. I’ll offer support and validation while also providing grounding, gentle challenge, and accountability when it feels helpful. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused and Strengths-Based approaches. Most importantly, I want to meet you where you are and work alongside you to create a space where you can better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and grow into who you want to be—on your own terms.

Weather you are a young adult trying to find your footing, a parent worried about your teenager, a couple struggling to communicate, or someone fighting through the fog of depression, anxiety or substance use, you do not have to carry this alone. Reaching out for help can be a very vulnerable experience, but also a great attribute of strength and resilience. I work with individuals who have experienced trauma in their life. Whether it's from childhood neglect, sexual assault, natural disaster, sudden death or other life circumstances. Trauma often creates patterns and loops that extend into many areas of a person's life, and can be challenging and painful to navigate. Sometimes the way people survive their trauma brings them more pain, adds to the chaos, and reinforces negative beliefs that perpetuate the cycle. I work to empower clients to understand and alter unhealthy cycles to strengthen and better their lives. I am fluent in ASL American Sign Language and have worked with Deaf clients leaving domestic violence in both a shelter and outpatient therapy services. I have spent 2 years in correctional settings working with severely mentally ill patients and supporting their family members navigating having children with mental illness. I have also spent 2 years working with foster youth and foster parents in providing support to their placements, promoting healing and preserving relationships. Note that online scheduling is limited. Broader scheduling options will be available to regularly scheduling clients. Please also note that I do not provide opinions about disability or fitness to return to work or other activities for clients who are not well-established at the time that the request for such opinion is made.

I employ various evidence-based modalities that enhance patient care and facilitate the tailoring of individualized treatments based on the specific needs of each patient, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Trauma (CBT-TF), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Seeking safety (SS), Triple P Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), and Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder (PMAD). My professional experience spans community mental health, integrated healthcare, nonprofit organizations, hospital settings, and private practice, where I collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. I value collaboration and am recognized as a supportive, dependable team member who enjoys working alongside colleagues to develop innovative, effective solutions that enhance client outcomes. My experience includes crisis intervention, behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, case management, telehealth services, and providing warm handoffs to ensure timely access to behavioral health and specialty services. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas with five years of independent clinical experience and over ten years of experience in human services, case management, vocational rehabilitation services, and working at inpatient and outpatient clinical therapy offices. I have a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Ohio University, a masters degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health counseling from UNC-Chapel Hill, and a bachelors of science degree in psychology from North Carolina State University. I chose to get a PhD in counseling because of my desire to help others, and my continuous drive to learn and grow. Therapy was essential to me as a teenager, then as a young adult, and now as a middle-aged adult. I have always found it to be a powerful tool in allowing me to process my thoughts and feelings, both about my past and my future. As a result, I chose to become a therapist, to provide the same support and guidance to the people I work with!

Hi. I'm Jasmine, I'm a LMFT. I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in 2008. My goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

Hi! I’m Dr. Kelly Horton, a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience helping people reach their goals related to greater peace, healthier relationships, self-understanding, emotional balance, and personal growth. My journey into psychology and the field of therapy began with curiosity about the “whys” of human behavior—why people respond the way they do, what helps some people become resilient, and how healing relationships are built after trauma or dysfunction. Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward? I work with adults and couples who are seeking greater clarity, connection, improved communication, and emotional balance. Whether you are navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, trauma, or patterns that no longer feel sustainable, therapy can offer a supportive space to better understand yourself and your relationships. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, strengthen communication and coping skills, and create a path forward that feels supportive, practical, and meaningful. I’m passionate about helping clients understand themselves more deeply, strengthen connection, and break cycles that no longer serve them.
