You more than likely appreciate a flexible and open approach to therapy along with a therapist who values a collaborative approach with their clients. You are likely looking for a therapist who can help alleviate your symptoms of personal distress and suffering. "I've got you." I am a California-based licensed psychotherapist. I obtained my Associate of Arts Degree from Fullerton College, a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, and a Masters's Degree in Psychology-Counseling from Chapman University. I specialize in Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Stress Management, Grief-Loss (including our fur babies) as well as Care-Taker burn-out. I have experience working in a variety of work settings including Inpatient Psychiatric Facilities, Outpatient Mental Health Clinics, Residential Treatment Facilities, and of course Private Practice. I have many years of experience in the field of behavioral health. There is a way forward, I hope you will let me help you get there.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Meaningfulness. Our first session is an opportunity for you to ask questions about me and/or the therapeutic process. The first session is also an opportunity for you to discuss any concerns or fears you may have about participating in therapy. This is an opportunity for me as well; this is an opportunity for me to get to know you and your story. It's an opportunity for me to instill hope along with encouraging you to allow me to take this journey with you. Hopefully you will feel "heard" and understood. My hope is that you will walk away from this experience feeling optimistic about your life and the future.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I prefer a more holistic and integrative approach to therapy. I think of therapy as a transformative process and not just a place to vent. I think your "inner-self" should have a voice. I think it is important to process and heal psychological wounds, hence, I use tools that will help you identify and process these same wounds. Visiting early lived experiences as a means of understanding current symptoms and behaviors is one method. I use other various processing tools. I very much believe in skill acquisition. Learning the skills that are going to help you manage your symptoms, but also, tools that will help you navigate through life. I am a strong believer the in power our thought patterns have on not only our worldview, view of self, and others but also on the decisions we make in life. I value cognitive-behavioral therapy. CBT helps us to identify maladaptive thoughts that are preventing us from moving forward in our lives.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Mindfulness, Compassion and Authenticity. Each of my clients can expect to receive empathy, respect, realism along with the skills/tools they will need to move forward and improve their lives.
