New to Grow
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 15 years experience. I trained in Somatic Psychology at John F. Kennedy University. I have also trained at the Sensorimotor Institute for Trauma Treatment. I am a grief Counselor. I have a certificate in Nutritional Psychology. I work with adult individuals. My work integrates evidence based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I work with Anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions and relationships. I work to help clients build resilience, a safe environment, boundaries and meaningful connections.
I will start to get to know you, what your core issues are, what you are looking for out of therapy. I will also ask about your history, family and issues you feel impact you. I work slowly, I try to meet you where you are. I will try to access if we are a good match and whether you feel that I am a good match for you.
I work slowly developing a safe environment. In my work as a therapist I use a holistic approach, incorporating mind, body and spirit. I believe that one of the most important aspects of therapy is providing supportive, compassionate and trusting environment. I work from a place of curiosity co-creating a safe place for your journey to access your deepest compassion for yourself as we work through the wounds that hold you back and the experiences that caused you pain.
I have worked with clients with PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, esteem issues, LGBTQ issues, and transgender. I work slowly and with mindfulness, developing trust and safety. it is a slow process especially for trauma and PTSD. I move with my clients gently encourging them to explore what has caused them pain and ways that they can move past that to become moreof the person they see themselves as.
