New to Grow
Hello my name is Charlene, I would love to meet you and help you on the journey to which you currently find yourself. I am available for telehealth every Friday, it is a very convenient way to do therapy for those with busy lives, or who may not want to leave home. I also see client face to face every other Saturday in my Vacaville office. I also do EMDR therapy using tapping. Please give me a call so we can begin to explore the path ahead.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
We will discuss the issue that brought you to therapy, your goals and how you think you can achieve your goals. Also, what therapy history you have, what have you tried before that did, or did not work.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I enjoy helping others resolve issues that keep them stuck, or they find themselves not quite satisfied with their life. We work together to find what works, explore what your definition of happiness is, and find out what your core values in life that you want to live by.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I enjoy helping clients work through trauma using emdr or talk therapy, you get to chose. It might be a combination of both. When trauma happens the memory, the order of events are not stored in neatly in the brain. EMDR helps the brain heal and the brain puts the pieces back together as you go through the process. I also enjoy helping clients with relationship building, career development, communication improvement, assertiveness training. If you have been told you "over react" I enjoy teaching skills to help you be in control of those big emotions.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Used for processing of any emotions, issues to help see alternative ways of considering elements of situation.
Christian Counseling
Many years of helping clients find peace, and direction through their faith and journey with God.
EMDR
Attachment Focused, 5 years experience with good results. Have had good results for childhood/parent issues, car accidents, fears, anxiety, trauma.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Skills training only. Teach and practice skills using role play, share examples.
Grief Therapy
Clients express grief in many ways, explore individual ways to express, learn emotions that stem out of grief, set boundaries around your process. Include faith based practices for healing.
