I’m Melba — Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of Rising Tide Family Therapy. I’m especially drawn to working with people navigating the tension between who they’ve been expected to be and who they’re becoming—particularly those who are used to considering everyone else’s needs, have a hard time disappointing people, or are the first in their family to do something different.. I come to therapy from a different career, which gives me a practical lens alongside my clinical one. You might come to therapy feeling stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure of what you want. You might be struggling with communication, boundaries, executive functioning, or simply feeling like you’re carrying more than your share. I help people who feel stuck in patterns of overextension — often the ones who've kept pushing until their body or job forced a stop. I take a strengths-based, compassion-focused approach to burnout and stress, helping clients find their footing and build something more sustainable going forward. We’ll look at both what’s happening internally and the systems around you, with an emphasis on identifying where you actually have room to make a difference. And therapy with me doesn’t have to be solemn all the time. I love a good TV or movie reference, a healthy dose of absurdity, and a laugh when the moment calls for it. My roots are in Kerala, India, and I was raised in San Jose, California, within an Orthodox Christian tradition. Today, I’d describe myself as spiritually agnostic. Given my own background, I’m particularly attuned to the weight that can come with collectivist cultures—the obligation, silence, and guilt that can arise when you’re the person who wants something different. I believe that tending to your own wellbeing isn’t selfish; individual wellbeing is part of collective wellbeing.

I grew up in East San José, California, in a vibrant immigrant community overflowing with playfulness, rhythm, and resilience. The love and sacrifice of my family enabled me to pursue my dreams, becoming the first woman in my immediate family to complete high school, college, and grad school. I use she/her pronouns and identify as a woman of color with Filipino and Mexican ancestry. I feel alive hiking with my loved ones, salsa dancing, and enjoying my favorite cuisine—Japanese Hot Pot. I am passionate about providing a radically strengths-based approach to youth, families, and adults in therapy. As someone who embodies both privileged and oppressed identities, I strive for constant self-reflection to continuously grow and reduce the harm I can cause as a service provider. I affirm people of all gender identities, sexual orientations, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, religious creeds, physical abilities, and beyond.

Whole-Hearted Therapy Centered on Genuine Connection. Ever had therapy that feels like it drags on without any results? Research shows the Power of Connection drives roughly 60% of Therapeutic Success. My Compassionate Therapy Style focuses on Building Bridges of Trust and cultivating a meaningful connection with positive outcomes. So, how do you find the best therapist for you? That's a great question. And it's one that most people struggle with answering whether it's their first or umpteenth search. Is it the therapist him/herself, their personality, theoretical approach, or specialty? While all these factors are important, it shouldn't be your responsibility to find the best clinician; rather it's the clinician's responsibility to become the best therapist for you. I also have a particular interest in using holistic practices to help create great results for depression & anxiety disorders as well as trauma/PTSD and other mental/behavioral conditions. These include EFT Tapping, breathing/mindfulness/meditation, and Amino Acids, etc. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Addiction Counselor with nearly nine years of extensive professional experience in both mental health and addiction. Further, I have a personal background in overcoming addictions as well as several mental health and learning disabilities. Whether you're seeking help to overcome addiction, mental health conditions or career counseling, I've dedicated my professional life to becoming YOUR BEST clinician. Transform Your Mental Health Story: Break Free from disheartening therapy experiences with my Empathetic Approach. Ready for a change? Let’s connect for a video conference consultation. From the comfort of your own space, let’s start your journey towards a happier, healthier you!

Hi! I'm Dr. Chelsea Acker, a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise working with children and adolescents. I'm experienced with a range of concerns, but I have specialized training in treating trauma, suicidality, and early psychosis. In 2019, I graduated from the PAU-Stanford PsyD Consortium, where I trained at the Stanford School of Medicine's psychiatry department and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital's program at a local high school. I attended internship (our version of residency, more or less) at the UC Davis Medical Center, where I received world-class training in the treatment of childhood trauma and early psychosis, both separately and together. I then completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Chicago Child Trauma Center, where I continued to build my expertise in the treatment of childhood trauma. After that, I worked at Kaiser Permanente, Oakland, for two and a half years, where I specialized in working with children and adolescents with complex, persistent symptom presentations, who had often been hospitalized multiple times for safety concerns and struggled to make progress with previous therapists.

I’m Allan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy—especially for kids—doesn’t have to mean sitting on a couch talking about feelings for 50 minutes. Sometimes the best conversations happen over LEGOs, games, art, play, or while doing something that makes it easier to simply be yourself. Online, it could mean processing trauma, playing online therapeutic games with children (or adults if you want to). I especially enjoy working with children and teens, including kids who are anxious, overwhelmed, navigating trauma, struggling with big emotions or behaviors, or having a hard time putting what’s happening inside into words. I use play, creativity, humor, and evidence-based approaches to build connection and help kids develop skills without therapy feeling like another place where adults are telling them what to do. I also work with adults navigating trauma, mood concerns, relationships, identity, major life changes, and life’s more complicated chapters. My style is warm, humorous, direct, and genuinely human. I draw from DBT, EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, play-based interventions, Theraplay-informed practices, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care, adapting therapy to the person in front of me rather than expecting them to adapt to therapy. My professional experience includes inpatient psychiatry, juvenile justice, child welfare, family services, and community mental health, so I’m comfortable working with both everyday struggles and situations that feel especially complicated. Whether we meet in my Eureka office or online, my goal is to create a space where you—or your child—feel safe, understood, and comfortable showing up exactly as you are. My practice is LGBTQIA+ and gender-diverse affirming and neurodiversity-affirming. And yes, there are credentials behind the LEGOs.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step my approach is all about making the process feel comfortable, supportive, and down-to-earth—like a real conversation, not a clinical checklist. Hi, I’m Ryan Ingram, PsyD, a licensed psychologist in California. I work with adults, teens, and couples who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of their next steps - whether that’s related to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, identity, or major life transitions. LGBTQ+ affirming and sex positive. Therapy with me is a safe, affirming space for reflection and real change. I bring warmth, curiosity, and honesty, while also challenging patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My approach emphasizes choices, personal responsibility, and accountability, not blame, so you can better understand what is within your control and take meaningful action. I integrate evidence-based approaches to help you regulate emotions, change unhelpful patterns, heal from past experiences, and build a life that feels more authentic, intentional, and aligned with your values. I specialize in helping people manage anxiety, build confidence, strengthen relationships, and become more aligned with the person they want to be. Therapy can help you understand the patterns, fears, and beliefs that keep you stuck while developing more intentional ways of responding. Together, we can work on reducing overthinking, improving communication and boundaries, increasing self-trust, and making choices that reflect your values rather than fear or pressure. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, capable, and confident in how you show up in relationships, work, and your everyday life.

Sometimes, as adults, we discover that our ability to make decisions; to love someone; to accept the love of another; to feel peace and inner calm; to find the motivation to accomplish goals; to forgive a betrayal; and to experience self-acceptance and confidence can feel limited, creating distress and discomfort. Thus begins the journey of an examined life. When you explore how you operate, what influences your choices, and what has contributed to your experiences, you begin the process of enriching your internal resources. This expansion of resources broadens your choices and options in life and holds the potential for higher functioning and greater happiness. As a therapist, I provide a safe, comfortable, and nonjudgmental environment. I am easy to talk to, interactive, respectfully direct, and mindful of diverse cultures, backgrounds, and sexual orientations. I work collaboratively with my clients to set goals and utilize each individual’s strengths and resources, supporting the discovery of an authentic self that experiences life in a richer and more satisfying way.

Hi and welcome! I’m Krista Hebert, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Southern California. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Cal State Long Beach and my master’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin. I have worked with at-risk youth, children and adolescents, parents, and people with disabilities. I’ve worked across a range of settings but predominantly in school-based mental health. After having a baby, I took about a year off work and I’m excited to return to my passion of providing meaningful therapy in the Telehealth setting. I'm Kim, I love the outdoors and nature. I have a passion for animals and have several pets that I spend my free time with. Faith and religion are a big part of my life and upbringing and have been a big part of my moral compass through life's many trials. I believe that everyone should be accepted as they are and not judged for their choices or who they have become. I have a heart for helping others, especially those that feel lost or stuck. I strive to develop a great working relationship with my clients so that they may thrive in their own lives and circumstances and feel comfortable talking to me about anything that may be bothering them. Thriving and happiness are found within ourselves and I hope to help you unlock your full potential no matter your beliefs or background, and no matter how deeply your potential is buried inside of you.
