Hi, I'm Ali. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who believes we're all works in progress. I earned my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Dominican University and have worked with adolescents and adults in community mental health and private practice. I help clients navigate anxiety, relationship challenges, body image concerns, and life transitions while making sense of the patterns that may be holding them back. Therapy doesn't have to feel intimidating. I strive to create a space where you can show up as you are, ask difficult questions, and maybe even laugh along the way.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is really a conversation. I'll ask questions to better understand what's bringing you in, what's been challenging, and what you're hoping will be different. It's also your chance to get a feel for my style and decide whether working together feels like the right fit.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my strengths is meeting clients where they are while helping them move toward where they want to be. I balance listening with thoughtful feedback, helping clients recognize patterns, gain new perspectives, and make changes that feel realistic and lasting.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who may look like they have it all together on the outside but feels overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain on the inside. They are ready to better understand themselves, make sense of what has been holding them back, and create a life that feels more aligned with who they are, one that feels authentic and fulfilling.

My treatment methods

Relational

In my practice, I use a relational approach to help clients better understand how their relationships and life experiences influence the way they think, feel, and connect with others. Through a supportive therapeutic relationship, we can explore these patterns and create new ways of relating to yourself and the people around you.

Attachment-based

Many of the ways we relate to ourselves and others are shaped by our earliest experiences. Using an attachment-based approach, we'll explore those patterns with curiosity and compassion, creating opportunities to heal old wounds and build healthier, more secure relationships.

Psychodynamic

Sometimes the patterns that keep us feeling stuck have roots we haven't fully explored. My psychodynamic approach helps us better understand those experiences so you can gain insight, make more intentional choices, and move forward with greater confidence.
