I received my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology in 1993 from California State University Northridge. I have worked as a therapist in the public sector for 28 years, serving adolescents and adults struggling with moderate to severe mental illness and substance use disorders, providing assessments, diagnoses and short term individual and group therapy. My therapeutic approach is client-centered and humanistic, with a primary focus on facilitating empowerment, self-actualization, healing, and growth.

I graduated with my MSW from Cal State University, Los Angeles and became licensed in 2021. I became a social worker because it aligned well with my belief in social justice and working as a therapist has only strengthened this belief.
