Hola, welcome to my profile! My name is Edna Salcido and I am a bilingual (Spanish and English) Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. I obtained my bachelor's degree from CSU Monterey Bay and my master's degree from USC. Through my years in practice, I have provided a safe space for healing as I support moving through anxiety, depression, grief, processing trauma, boundary setting and many diverse life challenges. I have experience working out in the field providing mental health services in homes and schools as well as experience in a medical setting as a lifespan therapist.
During our first session, we will introduce ourselves, gather details to understand what brings you to therapy, identify your strengths and coping strategies to build rapport and provide a safe space. We will also discuss your overall goal for therapy and your readiness to do the work.
Having worked in the mental health field for 13 years I have witnessed the need time and time again for a whole-person approach in therapy to get to the root cause of challenges experienced.
I am EMDR trained and working on certification. This treatment method is for you if there are memories that continue to impact you causing distress.
I am trained in Brainspotting in Phases 1 & 2. If you are seeking a mind-body approach with less talking this is a modality to explore.
If you experience frequent dysregulation and do not have the tools to regulate this is an effection approach to support nervous system care.
