Hello! I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist, practicing in CA. I have been in practice since 2011 and have treated a wide range of clients from various cultural backgrounds. Issues that have been presented in my practice are anxiety, depression, trauma, self esteem, life transitions, parenting, perinatal and postpartum issues and more. I work to create a safe space to allow clients find and strive on their positive and creative energy, discover and develop their goals, empower in their strengths, as well as collaborate on the skills for emotional and behavioral self-regulation.
The first session is structured as a personal introduction, presentation of current issues to address in therapy, assessment of anxiety/depression related symptoms, collaborating on goals for therapy.
I feel my strengths as a therapist are creativity, ability to create a safe non judgmental space and sense of humor.
I currently work only with individual clients, adults. I love working with clients who are emotionally curious and motivated to expand their thought process to unveil more perspectives to their issues in order to make changes for their personal possible best.

I’m very glad I met Yana as my therapist. It is not easy for me to share my problems, but Yana creates a safe and comfortable space to talk. She notices my feelings, helps me stay focused on what matters, and gently brings the conversation back to important points. I am continuing therapy, and so far everything feels good. I really appreciate our sessions.
