New to Grow
Welcome to my counseling practice, where we will work together in a solution-focused approach to help you with whatever life-changing events, decisions or issues you have facing you in your life. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, and a Florida Supreme Court Family Mediator. It is my honor to assist you in your journey to a better life.
In our first sessions, you may benefit from a psychodynamic approach to make connections with the past and present so you can enjoy a better future. Then we will move toward solution-focused methods and tailor your therapy to what is best for you.
My communication style is warm and friendly without being too clinical or cold. I treat everyone as an individual and welcome you to communicate with me about your needs and desires. We work on identifying your strengths and reframing any negative aspects so you can become the best version of yourself. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. You will be listened to, and I will help you listen to yourself and together we will seek optimal decisions and solutions for your life. I am the daughter of a psychiatrist and worked in my father's office. I also did my internships under neuropsychologists so I believe in a body mind approach. There's a lot of neuroscience and physiology to mental health issues. You will receive assistance with this added feature if needed.
I work most often with clients who suffer from anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive issues, and trauma. If you have suffered trauma and are still suffering, you will be treated with compassionate care for healing. We have all heard of post-traumatic stress disorder, but there is post-traumatic growth. There are practical tools for recovery. Relationship issues are also a focus. The most important decisions we make are who we keep in our inner circle. I can help you navigate difficult relationships with partners, spouses, family, and friends. My experience as a family court mediator results in a collaborative approach. Career counseling is also available,
So many therapist ask how you feel and that's important. However, as a solution focus therapist, I will ask how you want to feel and how can I assist you to move forward.
Psycho analysis is all about finding the roots of the problem. Psychodynamic theory goes one step farther, and we not only find the roots we make connections between the past and present to see if there is any reenactment. In this way, you can be conscious of your subconscious and have a better life in the future.
Cognitive behavioral therapy can help you change your thoughts, which are cognitions. When you change your thoughts, it changes your behavior and it changes your life to the positive. We use reframing and other tools of cognitive behavioral therapy that are practical, useful,, tangible and not abstract. This in tandem was solution. Focus therapy will expedite your healing and get you toward living your best life. I hope you listen to yourself and from your thoughts, we can begin to work together in a nonjudgmental environment to reframe them so you can regain a sense of self and enjoy a better life moving forward.
