Hi there, I am Dr. Jennifer Pfeuffer. Have the past few years been especially difficult on you? Are you feeling as though you are existing, as opposed to truly living an authentic life? Do you find it challenging to be in the present moment and engage in self love? You are not alone. Together, let's cultivate a collaborative therapeutic relationship that will allow you the space to process, heal, and grow. Let's address your specific needs and develop goals to achieve them. Therapy is an act of self love. By addressing our mental health, we can improve our overall life. In our sessions together, I will integrate a variety of evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness and expressive arts interventions, and humanistic/person-centered approaches. I'm here to support you and your journey.
We will work together to establish therapeutic goals that will address your main concerns. Each week, time will be devoted to identifying barriers, achievements, and acknowledging the ways in which our pasts can impact our ability to change. While our sessions together will provide a foundation, work outside of sessions will also assist you in meeting your goals. You will always be met with compassion, empathy, and openness as you devote time and energy into our sessions.
My goal is to help those experiencing anxiety, depression, and any type of trauma-related event. I am devoted to ensuring whole-person healing through counseling while considering multiple life domains, that impact functioning. I believe in an eclectic theoretical approach that is collaborative and focused on the mind-body connection. Utilizing person-centered/strength based techniques is important and how I meet others with genuine curiosity and warmth. Cognitive behavioral tools will allow us to discover the powerful ways that our thoughts and behaviors are connected. Mindfulness-based treatment methods will also be integrated into sessions to allow opportunities to be more present.
The ability to listen and be present are two of my biggest strengths as a psychologist. Remaining open and curious during all aspects of the therapeutic process are qualities in myself that I value. I also am very considerate of the ways in which environment, social issues, and culture impact identity. I believe that a client knows themself best, and I am ready to learn more about you.
