Tyisha Fletcher
Greetings, I am dual-certified in family and psychiatric mental health care as a Nurse Practitioner. I believe in treating my patients with respect and compassion. I have practiced for over six years in a variety of settings, including internal medicine, family medicine, and mental health.
I enjoy working with diverse people from a variety of cultures, and I specialize in working with people of color to provide a safe space to focus on complete mental health.

First session
My clients typically tell me how much better they feel after one session. We focus on rapport building initially and I want to hear your story! I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable or like they are giving up their past to someone they don't know. I believe in a trust-based relationship and going at your pace as you are comfortable. Mostly, clients tell me they feel like they have chatted with a friend but realize there has been growth in the conversation. To me, that is the way it should be.
Strengths
As a clinician I enjoys working with all patients but I excel when managing both bipolar clients and clients experiencing episodes of anxiety and depression. While working with mood disorder patients I take a collaborative approach that has been successful at keeping clients engaged in their treatment and promoting medication compliance, which often leads to mood stability.
Ideal clients
My ideal client wants to better understand their mental health and is ready to actively participate in their care. I especially enjoy working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, or major life transitions. I value clients who want a collaborative relationship rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where clients can be honest about what is working, what is not, and what they want from treatment. I also enjoy working with busy professionals, caregivers, and people who may appear to have everything together but are privately struggling with stress, burnout, anxiety, or difficulty balancing their responsibilities. Many simply want to feel like themselves again. My ideal client does not have to arrive with all the answers or even know exactly what they need. They just need to be open to the process. Together, we can develop a practical treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle changes, and other resources based on their individual needs. Ultimately, I want to work with clients who are looking for thoughtful, compassionate mental health care and a provider who will listen, respect their experiences, and work alongside them toward meaningful, realistic goals.
Treatment methods
Supportive
I use supportive therapy to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients can openly discuss their emotions, challenges, relationships, and everyday stressors. I focus on listening, validating experiences, identifying strengths, and helping patients develop practical ways to cope with difficult situations. During our sessions, I may help patients recognize patterns, improve problem-solving skills, build confidence, set healthy boundaries, and identify coping strategies they can use in daily life. I also provide education about how stress, relationships, lifestyle, and mental health symptoms can affect overall well-being. My approach is conversational and collaborative. I want patients to feel heard and supported, and to leave our sessions with practical tools they can use outside the appointment.
