Great to meet you! Self-care is something I wholeheartedly believe in. I hold a master's degree in counseling psychology and have been helping others since 2009. The fundamental aspect of therapy is helping others to overcome life toughest seasons; addressing issues that may become a stumbling block. Life challenges can eventually lead to mental discomfort. Helping others for many years, I apply different treatment modalities that will assist you in reaching your therapy goals.
Welcome, it takes motivation and courage to reach out for assistance with life's challenges; I appreciate you taking time out of your day to review my profile. From my 15+ years in the field of Social Work I strongly believe that Talk Therapy can have an overwhelmingly positive impact upon various mental health conditions, cognitions and coping skills. Having an early love of books, and social justice inspired me to eventually enter the field of Social Work. I received my BA from Tufts University and my MSW from The University of Washington.
I am a trauma-informed therapist specializing in EMDR and other evidence-based therapies. I work with adults who want to heal from trauma, explore identity, and navigate life transitions in a supportive, affirming space. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. I strive to create a safe environment where clients can process difficult experiences, deepen self-understanding, and move toward greater emotional well-being and personal growth.
I’m a licensed therapist who works with adolescents, young adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Many of the people who come to therapy with me feel overwhelmed, stuck in difficult patterns, or unsure how to move forward in their relationships or personal lives. Therapy can offer a place to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and begin creating meaningful change.
My approach is compassionate, thoughtful, and collaborative. I believe that people grow best in environments where they feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood. In our work together, I focus on helping clients explore the emotional and relational patterns that shape their experiences while also developing practical tools for managing stress, improving communication, and navigating challenges more effectively.
I have particular experience supporting teens and families during periods of conflict, transition, or emotional strain. I also work with young adults who are navigating identity, relationships, and life direction, as well as couples who want to better understand each other and strengthen their connection.
Clients often describe my style as warm, reflective, and grounded. I aim to create a space where you can speak openly, explore difficult experiences at your own pace, and begin developing a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships. Therapy is not about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you reconnect with your strengths and build a life that feels more stable, meaningful, and aligned with who you are.
I am an LPC with a PhD in psychology from Walden University. I have been counseling for almost 20 years. Before that, I was a teacher working with students with emotional concerns and their families. I know that it can be very difficult to take the first step to seek counseling. My intent the moment you “walk through the door” is for you to feel safe, cared for, listened to, and above all, understood. I am not here to judge or condemn. We all have our stuff. Life gets messy. Life can be complicated. I grew up in a Christian family riddled with dysfunction; alcoholism, addiction, anxiety, chronic pain, depression, suicidal ideation, and chronic medical issues. I have also worked in the educational sector with children with behavior issues, ADHD, ODD, OCD, attachment disorder, autism, as well as anxiety and depression. I am a people person. I am empathetic, I listen, I am real, and I can help.
You carry big responsibilities, and it’s been heavy for too long.
I work with executive leaders, founders, high performers iin demanding roles including parents to turn overwhelm into clarity.
Together we’ll surface blind spots, remove roadblocks, and build workable boundaries so you can lead well at work, show up at home, and feel grounded in your relationships. Constant stress and exhaustion aren’t the cost of success. Drive and focus don’t make you immune to anxiety, burnout, sleepless racing thoughts, shame, manipulation, family complexity, or the echo of old injuries.
Excellence doesn’t require perfection and saying no is okay.
With over a decade of experience across multiple states, I blend psychotherapy with practical consultation, offering confidential, results-focused care tailored to your unique world.
I also provide corporate mental health training, parent coordination, custody evaluations, and psycho-legal consulting all delivered with discretion, expertise, and a deep understanding of high-stakes environments.
If you’re ready for focused, actionable support, I’m here to help.

I also worked with Hospice clients, crisis intervention and was a crisis team member for many years evaluating clients for danger to self, danger to others and grave disability.

Hello! My name is Jodie and I am a licensed mental health counselor and a licensed marriage and family therapist in Washington and Idaho. I have been working in the field of mental health since my undergraduate work in 1998. I live in the Seattle/Tacoma area but meet with clients from all over Washington and Idaho seeking online counseling to decrease their anxiety, stress, and adjust to life's challenges.
I am a fellow traveler on a healing journey. I started out as a young adult believing I had something to share with the world. As I began to learn about psychology and counseling, I came to realize that I had multiple issues I needed to heal from myself. I share this because I want my clients to know that while our paths may be different, everyone has to start at the beginning, everyone has something to learn, and everyone has wisdom to share. Therefore, counseling should be a collaborative process that is fueled by curiosity, compassion, openness, and willingness to learn, grow, and change. I like to think I am an effective therapist because I have willingly (and sometimes reluctantly) engaged in the process myself. I can say with confidence that therapy works, that practicing skills can change your life, that your inner child can heal, and you don't hav to be a victim of spiraling thoughts and out of control emotions or disappointing relationships. Not every tool is right for every person or problem, so I continually educate myself and hone my skills in several modalities (e.g., EMDR, IFS, Guided Meditation, NLP) so I can give you the best possible outcomes for the most common issues (e.g., Anxiety, Depression, BPD, C-PTSD) that I treat.
Growing up in a military community as a student-athlete and bartender, I learned quickly that my passion and love for people would take the lead in picking a career. While receiving my master's degree at the University of Southern California, I concentrated on family and couple dynamics with a focus on military culture. Since becoming licensed in Texas, I have worked in the acute hospital setting with individuals in crisis processing trauma and working through the stages of grief. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), solution-focused therapy, and task-oriented therapy. I look forward to working with individuals and couples in all different stages of life to help them process, heal, and move forward with proper coping skills to be as successful as possible.
There is nothing more rewarding to me than assisting individuals in resolving the trauma that affects their lives. In my experience, the resolution of trauma has a knock-on effect that resolves many other issues the person may be experiencing. My approach is strongly based on a collaborative working relationship between the client and myself, where the client is the active partner in charge of their own recovery. I encourage the client to explore their past and present in order to understand how both have helped and hindered their ability to achieve their goals in life and in relationships. Establishing a clear timeline and connecting the dots from past experiences to what is currently going on in the client’s life is a powerful way to motivate them toward change.
I view my work as a therapist through a multicultural lens, and I customize my approach depending on the unique needs of every individual I work with. Many people have told me they’ve been frustrated by therapists in the past who sat quietly and provided very little feedback. In response, I’ve developed a forthright, solutions-oriented style of engaging with my clients that encourages them to set goals for themselves and empowers them to work toward them. I also have experience working with clients who prefer a softer, less structured approach, so I can customize the therapy experience to each person.

I received my Masters from Indiana University and have been practicing for 29 years in multiple settings. I work with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, aging, life changes, transition and adjustment across the life-span. I utilize several modalities in therapy but am goal focused to help clients find the balance they are seeking with new tools for now and in the future.
Hello! I have 20+ Years in the helping profession, including street work with homeless people, community development in Africa, institutional mental health, end-of-life care, resettlement with refugees, and multimodal therapy as Master level LICSW... “I can’t wait to work together! Whatever Challenge you’re facing, we will make sense of the thoughts and feelings. We'll find a way forward that you can Feel Good about.”
My journey began as an in-home Caregiver for people with disabilities or providing end-of-life care while I completed a Master in Social Work. I volunteered in Africa with the Peace Corps. I spent years in community Mental Health where I earned my License helping people with psychotic disorders. To be more effective, I am pursuing advanced training in a range of Best-Practice modalities, including CBT, EMDR, DBT, and IFS. Most recently, I've been working with Refugees from all over the world to build new lives in the US. And... I’m a Husband and Father. Therapy is my strong passion. If I can help just one person embrace life more fully, it's been a good day.
I am a licensed clinical social worker providing effective therapy for many types of mental health diagnosis. I use a variety of methods to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), trauma informed care, solution focused therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR).
The hardest step to therapy Is making the first call. Let me help you on your journey to healing and living your best life!
I have experience working with sexual abuse, physical abuse, and domestic violence survivors as well as military, first responders, and medical professionals.
