(she/her)
Growing up in a military community as a student-athlete and bartender, I learned quickly that my passion and love for people would take the lead in picking a career. While receiving my master's degree at the University of Southern California, I concentrated on family and couple dynamics with a focus on military culture. Since becoming licensed in Texas, I have worked in the acute hospital setting with individuals in crisis processing trauma and working through the stages of grief. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), solution-focused therapy, and task-oriented therapy. I look forward to working with individuals and couples in all different stages of life to help them process, heal, and move forward with proper coping skills to be as successful as possible.
Clients in the first session should expect to be heard. They will be encouraged to speak openly and freely with no judgement. They will leave knowing they are in a safe space where ideas and thoughts will be grown, challenged and nurtured.
My greatest strength is being able to connect with my clients where they feel comfortable and safe communicating with me. Providing a safe space and a place where people can be honest and vulnerable is my most optimal quality as a clinician.
I prefer working with couples along with individuals working through life transitions, depression and/or anxiety. Due to my acute care hospital experience I work with those individuals dealing with end of life, crisis or working through trauma. I am also a partner of the LGBTQIA+ community and focus on sex positive choices and relationships.

She was amazing 👏🏾. I would recommend her to anyone who is flexible, open-minded and wants to be proactive about their mental health.

My partner and I have been seeing Lisa for about 6 months now. We both really like her and her therapy style. She’s makes us feel comfortable and is non judgmental but is also still direct and challenges us, which we both need/like. After feeling like we hit a breaking point in our relationship, she helped us figure out how to come back together and move forward.

This was my first session with Lisa and I’m excited for more. I have already done therapy in the past, so I’m keenly aware of what kind of therapist I work best with. Lisa made me feel welcomed, seen, and heard.
