Hi! I'm a queer feminist who cares deeply about uplifting my community. I believe that my job is all about helping others be unapologetically themselves. I do not believe in the concept of "cringe" and I encourage my clients to really examine shame and unpack how this emotion has attached so deeply into our understanding of self. I have been serving the queer, neurodivergent, sex-positive, and polyamorous community for years. If you fall under with any of those or are wondering if you do, you're in the right place!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will focus on grabbing an understanding of why you've come to therapy, what you want to focus on, and how you've become to be the person you are. It is important to me to not just know where you're going but where you're coming from. I'll give you an idea of who I am, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me at any time.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My focus on compassion and acceptance is threaded through every session. I've been described as someone who brings a playful, gentle energy but will also challenge and encourage reflection. I'll point out when your actions and words aren't matching with your values and facilitate a non-judgemental discussion about it. Judgement is not something I intend to bring into our time together, but honesty and kindness is.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

The types of clients that make their way into sessions with me are typically in a state of transition. Feeling "stuck" is a common thing I hear amongst clients, wanting to make change but not knowing how yet. Clients that want to explore new ways of thought and perspective will mesh well with me. Being interested in not just hearing about new skills, but being willing to practice them will take clients a long way.

Feminist

Deconstructing system oppression and understanding how bias and stigma affect us is an important part of my practice. Together we can examine how our interactions with the world impact our understanding of self and others.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Learning skills to help with mindfulness, interpersonal relationships and distress tolerance. Gain a better understanding of how being truly present to yourself and your emotions can affect your mindset.
