New to Grow
Hi! I'm a queer feminist who cares deeply about uplifting my community. I believe that my job is all about helping others be unapologetically themselves. I do not believe in the concept of "cringe" and I encourage my clients to really examine shame and unpack how this emotion has attached so deeply into our understanding of self. I have been serving the queer, neurodivergent, sex-positive, and polyamorous community for years. If you fall under with any of those or are wondering if you do, you're in the right place!
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will focus on grabbing an understanding of why you've come to therapy, what you want to focus on, and how you've become to be the person you are. It is important to me to not just know where you're going but where you're coming from. I'll give you an idea of who I am, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me at any time.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My focus on compassion and acceptance is threaded through every session. I've been described as someone who brings a playful, gentle energy but will also challenge and encourage reflection. I'll point out when your actions and words aren't matching with your values and facilitate a non-judgemental discussion about it. Judgement is not something I intend to bring into our time together, but honesty and kindness is.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am strongly aligned with the queer community, including the trans community and those on asexual and aromantic spectrum. Being you includes the good, the "bad", and the weird. All of that is not only welcomed here, but celebrated. Whether you're looking to explore who you are and new identities or if you already know who you are and want a place to talk about the difficulties you're facing, I'm here for you.
Narrative
Everyone walks around with a story about them. Let's explore what the stories are, how we learned them, and if they align with how you see yourself today. Taking control of the stories you've been stuck with and start to write your own narrative. You have the power and autonomy to be the author of your own book.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
It's easy to push away what we don't like, but how does that affect us? Exploring your values and understanding how you want to live by them through with an accepting and compassion lens.

Deconstructing system oppression and understanding how bias and stigma affect us is an important part of my practice. Together we can examine how our interactions with the world impact our understanding of self and others.
