About me

Hello! My name is Jodie, and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington and Idaho. I’ve been working in the mental health field since beginning my undergraduate studies in 1998. With decades of experience, I’m passionate about helping women navigate the challenges that life can bring. I’m based in the Seattle/Tacoma area and provide online counseling to women throughout Washington and Idaho. I work with women seeking support with anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the many changes that can come with different seasons of life. My approach is warm, supportive, and practical, with a focus on helping you feel more grounded, confident, and equipped to move forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

When we first meet, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore a brief history of the concerns you’re experiencing, and review the symptoms that are causing you distress, such as stress, worry, overthinking, difficulty sleeping, or other challenges. During your intake appointment, we’ll also discuss your availability for ongoing sessions and find a regular appointment time that works well for you. My office hours are **Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.**

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques through a trauma-informed lens, helping you explore past experiences that may be influencing how you think, feel, and respond today—including challenges with trust, resentment, anger, or relationships. When faith is important to you, I can also incorporate your spiritual beliefs and values as a source of strength and support as you work through current challenges and move toward greater healing and emotional well-being.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with women navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and changes in mood. I offer faith-sensitive counseling, and if your faith is important to you, we can thoughtfully incorporate your spiritual beliefs and values into our work together. My goal is to provide a supportive, compassionate space where you can feel heard, understood, and free to be yourself as we explore what brought you to therapy and identify practical ways to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional well-being. I have a particular interest in helping women who have experienced difficult or unhealthy relationship dynamics, including relationships with narcissistic or highly self-centered partners. These experiences can leave you questioning yourself, struggling with boundaries, or feeling disconnected from the confident person you once were. I understand how deeply these relationships can affect your self-trust, emotional well-being, and future relationships. Together, we can work through what you’ve experienced, rebuild your confidence and trust in yourself, strengthen healthy boundaries, and develop healthier relationship patterns moving forward. I want my clients to feel that therapy is a place where they don’t have to figure everything out alone. Whether you are facing a current relationship struggle, a major life transition, anxiety, or simply feeling stuck, we can work together to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and hopeful about what comes next.

Jodie had inslights for me rather than just asking me questions. She was very authentic and it felt like a personalized experience rather than a perscriptive intake. I am looking forward to meeting with her in the future.
