I am a trauma-informed therapist specializing in EMDR and other evidence-based therapies. I work with adults who want to heal from trauma, explore identity, and navigate life transitions in a supportive, affirming space. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. I strive to create a safe environment where clients can process difficult experiences, deepen self-understanding, and move toward greater emotional well-being and personal growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will talk about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. I will ask questions about your current concerns, relevant history, and what has or hasn’t been helpful for you in the past. This helps me understand your experiences and the areas where you would like support. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions about my approach and how therapy works. The first session is a collaborative conversation where we begin identifying your goals and discuss possible next steps. My aim is to create a supportive and respectful space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapies. I integrate EMDR, cognitive and behavioral strategies, and practical skill-building to help clients understand patterns, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful change. I strive to create a supportive, structured environment where clients feel safe to be authentic while working toward lasting emotional resilience and personal growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who want to better understand themselves and create meaningful change in their lives. Many of my clients are navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, identity exploration, or patterns that feel difficult to shift on their own. I also work with LGBTQ+ individuals seeking affirming support around identity, relationships, and the impact of minority stress. My practice is well suited for people who appreciate a thoughtful, structured approach to therapy that combines insight with practical tools. Clients often come to process past experiences, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and develop a clearer sense of self while building lasting emotional resilience.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and use it as a primary treatment approach for trauma in my practice. I follow a safety-focused model that emphasizes stabilization, grounding skills, and preparation before beginning trauma processing. EMDR is then used to help clients reprocess distressing memories so they can reduce emotional intensity and move forward with greater resilience.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. In my practice, CBT is integrated with trauma-informed care and practical coping strategies to support lasting behavioral and cognitive change.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to help clients build emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. In my practice, DBT-informed strategies are used to support clients in managing intense emotions and developing healthier coping patterns.

Gender-affirming therapy

I provide gender-affirming therapy that supports clients in exploring and expressing their gender identity in a safe, validating, and nonjudgmental environment. My approach centers client autonomy while addressing identity development, minority stress, and overall mental health and well-being.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore ambivalence and strengthen their motivation for change. This collaborative, client-centered approach supports individuals in identifying their values and taking meaningful steps toward their goals.
