I help adults who are struggling with different issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, low self-esteem, etc. find an improved quality of life. No problem is too big or small to talk about.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and I believe everyone deserves a place where they feel safe, heard, and supported. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where we can work together to build hope, healing, and lasting change. My approach to counseling is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and relapse prevention strategies. I believe therapy is most effective when it combines compassion with practical skills that you can apply in your everyday life. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working in intensive outpatient treatment, substance use recovery, and clinical leadership. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the resilience of the people I serve and reinforced my belief that meaningful change is possible, even during life's most difficult moments. Clients often describe me as approachable, compassionate, genuine, and easy to talk to. I believe healing begins with a trusting relationship, and I consider it an honor to walk alongside my clients as they rediscover their strengths, overcome challenges, and create lives that feel healthier, more balanced, and more fulfilling.

I utilize a strengths-based approach in talk therapy with an emphasis on instilling hope. The desire to experience relief in your current situation has led you to this very moment. I am here to help you. I work with clients who are ready to disrupt old patterns that no longer serve them and are experiencing circumstances like trauma (stemming from past/recent events), relationship concerns, stress, grief/loss, transitions in life/work, seeking intrapersonal growth, money relationship/behavior struggles, self-esteem, family conflict, and adjustment difficulties.
Hi there, I'm Susan.
Have you been overwhelmed by juggling life's demands recently? Would you like to feel more confident in relationships and comfortable in your own skin? Are you finding it difficult to cope with change and loss? Reaching out for support is a big first step. As a licensed clinician in Virginia, Utah and Iowa with over two decades of experience, I will work collaboratively with you as a partner to explore solutions and help you reach your goals.
My approach to counseling is to create a space that feels safe, nonjudgmental, and welcoming. I am very strengths-based and tailor my approach to your individual needs and preferences. The focus of my practice is working with women of all ages on concerns including anxiety and depression, self-esteem, body image, life changes, and relational challenges. I also have specialized training to help you process and heal from previous trauma.
I love incorporating humor and creativity into our conversations as we navigate these difficult topics.
I look forward to meeting you and beginning our work together.
My aim is to help clients navigate major life transitions, anxiety, depression, and overwhelming stress — especially when life feels uncertain, heavy, or out of control. Whether you’re dealing with a big change, emotional burnout, or financial pressure, therapy with me is a place to slow down, get grounded, and start making sense of what you’re going through.
I take a warm, supportive, but direct approach to therapy. I won’t just nod and listen, I’ll help you notice patterns, challenge what’s keeping you stuck, and build practical tools so you can feel more steady, confident, and in control of your life. My background is a clinical social worker working full time in medical social work so I witness people's life change every day in major ways. This has lead me to prioritize self care and build intentional ways to help myself and others manage stress. My top self-care activities include traveling, spending quality with family and friends, seeking out thrilling adventures, discovering new RNB music, and walking. I'm hopeful that we can identify some coping skills that work for you.
As a neurodivergent Black woman living with a chronic illness and mother of three adult children, two of whom identify with the LGBTQ+ commmunity, I am always interested in the deeper question people carry about their lives. Many of the individuals I work with are thoughtful, capable people who have spent years showing up for others, meeting expectations, and doing what seemed like the responsible thing to do. At some point, though, many begin to notice a quiet sense that something no longer fits.
My work centers around helping people slow down enough to understand what is actually happening beneath that feeling. Together we look at the patterns, experiences, and internal narratives that shape how you see yourself and the choices available to you. From that place, people often begin to rediscover a clearer sense of who they are and what direction their lives might take moving forward.
I am especially drawn to working with adults navigating identity shifts, relationship transitions, and moments in life where the path forward is no longer obvious.

Since 2014, I've guided countless individuals to reclaim their lives, cultivating confidence and ease, no matter what challenges arise. My passion is witnessing your transformation from apprehension to peace.
A significant part of my expertise is dedicated to understanding and supporting individuals with ADHD. It's more than just focus; it's a unique way the brain processes information, impacting organization, emotions, and time perception. If you've felt misunderstood, struggled with procrastination, or been overwhelmed, I offer clarity and practical strategies. Many clients discover that by understanding their ADHD brain, they can harness its strengths and build systems that truly work, transforming struggles into paths to success and self-acceptance. My goal is to help you unlock your full potential.
Beyond these core areas, I recognize that life's complexities interweave. The anxiety or depression you experience might be exacerbated by big decisions you're struggling to make, or difficulties in navigating relationships. These can be isolating. I offer a supportive space to explore these complexities, developing effective communication and healthy boundaries. We'll empower you to make choices aligning with your values, fostering more peaceful and fulfilling connections in your life.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over twenty years experience in both the macro and clinical areas of counseling. I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, multicultural issues, and behavioral issues. Regardless of the area of service, my goal is to ensure that resources to clients are accessible and that clients feel supported while navigating the journey to healing.
My name is Dave Rogers, and I have been counseling professionally for over 30 years. I have worked at inpatient and residential treatment centers for Eating Disorders, and addictions, and as you can imagine - worked with families and loved ones impacted by these extremely difficult problems. I am so fortunate to have worked with gifted teams of professionals who taught me everything I know. I have also worked extensively as an outpatient therapist since 2011 when I opened my private practice. I heard a statement early in my career that impacted my practice of therapy greatly: "People don't care what you know, until they know you care". Research continues to verify that the quality of the therapy relationship is the foundation for all the other work. So - I do my very best to make a comfortable and supportive relationship from the start, because people often come to therapy with apprehension, fear, or bad experiences with therapy that cause them to be reluctant, or hesitant to open up and address their struggles and pain. One of my early goals in therapy is to listen so well, that the client says "you get me". I do my best to help clients heal, change, grow, and work toward contentment with themselves and life, as much as possible.

Hi, I am Nephetia and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience providing support to individuals navigating changes and challenges in life. I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2000 and a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2012.
I am a compassionate and affirming therapist who strives to provide a safe and judgement-free space for clients to express themselves and utilize their strengths to achieve their goals. Decreasing negative symptoms and helping each client live healthier fulfilling lives is the ultimate goal. With me you are celebrated and encouraged to be your authentic self. Some of my strongest qualities are building strong therapeutic rapport, creating a safe place to be authentic and being empathetic.
My theoretic approach is based on the belief that clients are in charge of their counseling experience so that the process is individualized. I use an integrative therapeutic approach primarily including CBT, Person Centered, Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance an Commitment Therapy. I enjoy being able to help others reach their goals and feel more emotional stability overall. I have experience assisting and supporting clients overcome and cope with depression, anxiety, grief, issues specific to women, low self-esteem and body image.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space and use evidence-based practices in sessions. Life brings both highs and lows, and growth often comes from how we face challenges and move toward healing. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s common to feel overwhelmed by emotions and life stressors. Together, we can organize concerns, build coping strategies, and improve your quality of life.
I am currently accepting new clients for individual sessions via teletherapy.
I have been practicing as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida for the past 25 years and am also a Licensed Therapist in Virginia, largely with a focus in the areas of trauma, depression, anxiety, emotion regulation, relationship conflict, and self-esteem. I feel many of the responses we struggle with are connected to a traumatic event (or perceived trauma) from the past. Currently, my primary focus has been in the individual realm, with a focus on relationship growth.
I will encourage you to prioritize the areas you wish to address in therapy and tailor my approach on an individual basis. I believe in client autonomy so the areas that are addressed are the areas you want to address.
I draw on several treatment modalities (including, but not limited to, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy) to allow you to further develop your strengths and help you meet all of your treatment plan goals at a speed that works best for you. I also have completed training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy as well as the Developmental Model for Couples and integrate both of these approaches into my relational therapy practice.
Overall, I help you to see that managing the stressor is more important than just managing the stress as it will allow you to cope with anything that comes your way.
Reaching out for help is a big step. I appreciate your courage in leaning into growth and problem-solving! I am excited to get to know more about you and how I might be supportive. I operate from a strong relationally-based approach that is client-centered, solution-focused, and non-judgmental. I am very committed to building rapport, open communication, and assisting in helping you meet the goals you set, at the pace that you feel is appropriate. I believe in creating a nurturing, comfortable, and safe space for expression that promotes authentic exploration and insight.
To tell you a bit about myself, I have been an independently licensed social worker since 2013 (undergrad degree in psych from Wheaton College; master's degree in social work from University of New England). I spent much of my earlier professional career working with children and families, primarily within the confluence of mental health and education, before transitioning into private practice with adults. My clinical approach is crafted for the person in front of me, drawing influence from varying forms of therapy in a multi-modal approach.
My therapeutic skillset is strongest with individual challenges related to behavioral/emotional management (such as coping with strong feelings or life events and social/emotional/behavioral struggles), identity formation/re-formation/life transitions (exploring feelings of belonging, questions such as, "How do I figure out who I am/who I want to be/what I want to do with my life?"), and relational dynamics. I am also well-practiced in working with people who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma.
As stated above, it takes courage and strength in deciding to put the work into creating change in a positive direction. The fact that you are reading profiles is an accomplishment! I am here for you if/when you are ready, and look forward to celebrating your future achievements!
I have been licensed since 2017 and I've been working in the mental health arena for just under a decade. I began working in community mental health and that gave me an excellent opportunity to work with people who were dealing with a large variety of issues, including significant trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, people struggling to find motivation, people who are grieving significant losses, people with attention or focus issues, and people just trying to find their place in the world.
My primary concern is ensuring that you feel comfortable and safe to share openly. Wherever you are on your adventure, I want to meet you there and work with you until you reach your destination. I primarily practice cognitive behavioral therapy and I work very hard to keep myself updated on treatments that are identified as best practice therapy models by the state of Virginia. It is important to me to provide a service that is supported by research to ensure that my clients get the best service available. I tend to pull a lot from DBT, strength based counseling, motivational-interviewing, solution focused therapy, and mindfulness. It should also be mentioned that I have a lot of experience working with people who have had significant legal issues. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life, and I love to learn.

We are responsible for our own choices, and sometimes for the choices of others. That responsibility can feel daunting, especially when change is already unfolding beneath the surface. I believe that asking for help is itself a courageous act of authenticity. My practice provides a direct, down-to-earth space for adults navigating major life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and pattern breaking, focusing entirely on real-time reality and practical tools you can use outside of our sessions.

Hello and welcome! I'm so glad you're here. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Virginia. With 13 years of experience in the field, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges, transitions, and seasons of life. I created my practice with the goal of providing a warm, compassionate, and judgement-free environment where clients can feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are. I believe therapy should be a collaborative experience--one where you feel genuinely heard, understood and supported.
Starting counseling can feel vulnerable, and reaching out for support is an important first step. You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Whether you're going through a difficult experience or simply want to better understand yourself, I'm here to walk alongside you.
After many years in mental health, I continue to believe that meaningful change begins with feeling safe enough to be honest, curious enough to explore, and supported enough to take the next step. I look forward to getting to know you and working together toward a healthier, more fulfilling life!
Hi, I'm Lindsay. I am here to help you on your healing journey. I believe that each and every person holds all of the wisdom they need to overcome life’s traumas directly within themselves. My job as a therapist is to help shine a light on your own inner wisdom, and guide you through the healing process in a safe, nonjudgmental space. I believe that when we approach life’s challenges with curiosity rather than criticism we are better able to reach a sense of peace and acceptance to some of lives most complex circumstances and hardships. I am passionate about helping my clients navigate their journey to their most authentic, free, and true selves. I believe that when we have the tools to attune ourselves to our mind, body and spirit we come home to ourselves. And when we are at home within ourselves, we are free.
Whether you are seeking to recover from narcissistic abuse, intimate partner violence, or family or childhood trauma, or you are struggling with a difficult life transition or depression, or anxiety. I will meet you exactly where you are. I believe that each individual is the expert on their own lives. My sole purpose as your therapist is to guide you with compassion and care to help you unlock your innate inner wisdom and equip you with the tools you need to overcome the trauma of your past.
I am dedicated to liberation therapy and I reject all systems of oppression including but not limited to white supremacy, racism, and sexism.
Hello, I’m Krystie, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work with individuals who feel overwhelmed by their thoughts, uncertain in their decision-making, or unfulfilled in their relationships, careers, or personal lives. Many clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns of negative thinking, emotional distress, or past experiences that continue to impact their present functioning.
My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. Together, we will explore the connections between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop practical, skills-based strategies to help you manage symptoms, build resilience, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. I strive to provide a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space where clients can address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related experiences, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions.
Beginning therapy can feel intimidating, but it is a meaningful step toward growth and healing. My goal is to help you feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions so you can reengage with life in a way that feels fulfilling and aligned with your values.
Hello! I am an Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based out of Lynchburg VA where I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. For 5 years I have been practicing with this degree as well as practicing therapy techniques previously before receiving my degree. I focus on helping individuals challenge the parts of their life that cause the most distress and becoming empowered in order to continue practicing healthy coping and thought regulation.
