I am currently accepting new clients for individual sessions via teletherapy.
I have been practicing as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida for the past 23 years and am also a Licensed Therapist in Virginia, largely with a focus in the areas of depression, anxiety, thought disturbance, addiction, emotion regulation, relationship distress, and self-esteem. I feel many of the responses we struggle with are connected to a traumatic event (or perceived trauma) from the past. Currently, my primary focus has been in the individual realm, with a focus on relationship growth.
I will encourage you to prioritize the areas you wish to address in therapy and tailor my approach on an individual basis. I believe in client autonomy so the areas that are addressed are the areas you want to address.
I draw on several treatment modalities (including, but not limited to, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy) to allow you to further develop your strengths and help you meet all of your treatment plan goals at a speed that works best for you. I also have completed training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy as well as the Developmental Model for Couples and integrate both of these approaches into my relational therapy practice.
Overall, I help you to see that managing the stressor is more important than just managing the stress as it will allow you to cope with anything that comes your way.
I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Montclair State University and my master of social work from New York University. I have been practicing therapy for over 13 years and an additional three years in other realms of the helping profession. I have experience in a residential setting as well as various counseling centers & a private group practice. I spent numerous years working with trauma, as well as school-based health centers. I have specialized experience working with depression, anxiety, stress, relational and family conflict, and abuse.

Welcome. Wherever you are on your life journey, I am glad you are here! Healing is not about becoming someone new — it is about remembering who you are beneath the conditioning, survival patterns, and expectations that have pulled you away from living in alignment with your authentic self.
You do not need to be fixed. You do deserve a space where all parts of you are welcome — a place where healing is not about perfection, but about living more fully, honestly, and in connection with your soul purpose.
Welcome! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Virginia and also licensed to practice in Ohio. With 13 years of experience in the field, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges, transitions, and seasons of life. I created my practice with the goal of providing a warm, compassionate, and judgement-free environment where clients can feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are. I believe therapy should be a collaborative experience--one where you feel genuinely heard, understood and supported.
Starting counseling can feel vulnerable, and reaching out for support is an important first step. You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Whether you're going through a difficult experience or simply want to better understand yourself, I'm here to walk alongside you.
After 13 years in this field, I continue to believe that meaningful change begins with feeling safe enough to be honest, curious enough to explore, and supported enough to take the next step. I look forward to getting to know you and working together toward a healthier, more fulfilling life!
I am Teri, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and licensed substance abuse treatment practitioner (LSATP) with extensive experience in behavioral health, having worked in the field since 2018. My dedication lies in supporting individuals who are navigating mental health challenges and substance use disorders. I believe in the power of education, helping my clients understand how their behaviors and past experiences shape their present circumstances and future potential. I am now accepting clients in the State of Florida and Tennessee.
My approach to therapy is rooted in empowerment. I work collaboratively with my clients to uncover the how, when, what, and why of their struggles, so they can better understand the underlying causes of their issues. By addressing these root causes, I believe individuals can begin to break the cycle of unhealthy behaviors and make meaningful changes in their lives.
If you are struggling with emotional or behavioral challenges, I am here to help you gain clarity, learn new coping strategies, and create a path toward lasting change. Together, we can work toward understanding and healing so you can live a more fulfilling life.
Hello, I’m Krystie, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work with individuals who feel overwhelmed by their thoughts, uncertain in their decision-making, or unfulfilled in their relationships, careers, or personal lives. To tell you a bit about myself, I have been an independently licensed social worker since 2013 (undergrad degree in psych from Wheaton College; master's degree in social work from University of New England). I spent much of my earlier professional career working with children and families, primarily within the confluence of mental health and education, before transitioning into private practice with adults. My clinical approach is crafted for the person in front of me, drawing influence from varying forms of therapy in a multi-modal approach.
My therapeutic skillset is strongest with individual challenges related to behavioral/emotional management (such as coping with strong feelings or life events and social/emotional/behavioral struggles), identity formation/re-formation/life transitions (exploring feelings of belonging, questions such as, "How do I figure out who I am/who I want to be/what I want to do with my life?"), and relational dynamics. I am also well-practiced in working with people who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma.
As stated above, it takes courage and strength in deciding to put the work into creating change in a positive direction. The fact that you are reading profiles is an accomplishment! I am here for you if/when you are ready, and look forward to celebrating your future achievements!

Seeking therapy can seem scary and maybe even against some of the teachings you've learned in church, but you are making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together I will meet with you, and your spouse if you want, with compassion and evidence-based techniques while using biblical principles so you can overcome the hang-ups and habits holding you back. The research says that 1 in 4 people in the United States, at any given time, have mental health issues. This does not exclude the church. The average church in Virginia has 250 members attending on any given Sunday. That means that at least fifty people in your church service last Sunday are struggling with some type of mental illness or emotional problem. I work with churches to help them with ministering to the hurting, please let me help you.
