20 Years in the Trenches. No Fluff. Just Results.
"I’m not your typical therapist, and I’m okay with that. I wear my history on my sleeves and my philosophy in my name: Rugged + Regulated.
For the last 20 years, my career has been defined by working where the work is hardest. From years of navigating the complexities of the foster care system to training organizations on how to handle trauma without breaking, I’ve learned one universal truth: You cannot think your way out of a problem you behaved your way into
I am a Texas-based therapist who believes in self-sufficiency. I don't want you to be in therapy forever. I want to give you the DBT and ACT tools you need to regulate your own nervous system, set your own goals, and build a future that looks the way you want it to look.
If you’re looking for a safe space to be exactly who you are—tattoos, metal music, motorcycle gear, and all—you’ve found it. Let's get to work."
If you’re tired of feeling stuck in anxiety, depression, anger, or shame, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to stay there. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who helps people get to the root of what’s holding them back and build practical tools that actually work to break the exhausting cycle.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when life already feels heavy. I strive to offer a calm, supportive environment where clients can slow down, be heard, and begin making sense of their experiences. Together, we work to understand patterns, build coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I specialize in working with individuals of all ages. I have found that online therapy for adults is effective, convenient and the post pandemic way to obtain therapy. I am solution focused, and I practice the client centered approach theory.
My background is in secondary education and school counseling, for 27 years. I have had my counseling license for 13 years. I am currently a part-time, private counselor, using online with adult clients and in person, for youth, through non-profit, school programs.
I earned an A.A. in Historical Studies from San Jacinto College, Central Campus, La Porte, Texas, June of 1991. I earned my B.A. in Secondary Social Studies from the University of Houston, Clearlake Campus, in Houston, Texas in June of 1994. And I earned my M.Ed. from University of Texas State in San Marcos, in December of 2010. I later added my license in Professional Counseling, in April of 2011. I am interested in the ways trauma impacts the individual and plan to be trained in EMDR, within the year.
I am empathetic to the challenge that real life experiences bring and the need to heal and evolve from the times in our lives when we have lived predominately in our shadow side. I am a non-judgmental listener; I help my clients process their hurt and I inspire them to move towards best version of themselves.
I find the key components to a therapeutic relationship between the counselor and the client is the foundation of trust, honesty, transparency and non-judgmental listening and reflection.
I believe that everyone has a purpose, life lessons that they work through and opportunities to heal, transform and evolve emotionally, spiritually and mentally.

Hello! I bring 17 years of mental health experience along for your sessions. I have been in private practice since January of 2023. I consider myself a generalist and I'm happy to help you with any need or concern that you might have. Some of the areas where I have the most experience are depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and grief and loss. I have spent the majority of my career working in a University setting and have helped many college-age adults make meaningful changes. I have also worked in behavioral health clinics and have experience working with clients that have been legally referred to therapy. I work with almost all age groups however, I typically do not work with persons under the age of 18. If you are a minor, please have your guardian consult with me before scheduling an intake and I will consider your need and my areas of expertise and help you determine our next steps. I am also no longer able to accommodate couples therapy. If you are seeking a couples therapy session I will be happy to assist you with a referral. Hello, I am glad you took the time to read my biography. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has a heart for people who are looking for empowerment and growth. I personally know what this feels like and how difficult it can be. I was blessed to have people in my life to help me during my "trying times." Honestly, I still do. I am Bi-lingual, (Spanish) and have been practicing for 13 years. I have worked with teenagers, adults, and couples. I do not work with children due to my lack of training. My experience entails working with addictions and various disorders. I believe in both therapy and medication and am cultural competent to utilize as resources. My heart is working with trauma and am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe that my job is to have my clients get to the point where they are no longer needing my services. That's right, to get myself fired! I believe that we were created in the image of the Creator which means the ability to love and be loved and to have the freedom to make wise decisions which help navigate us through this journey we are on. Thank you again for reading my biography. I wish you the freedom you are looking for and believe YOU ARE WORTH IT!
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, panic, or emotional stress - or noticing patterns from the past repeating in your relationships - you’re not alone. Unresolved trauma, depression, or anger can affect the way you think, behave, and connect with others. These patterns can also affect how you see yourself - leading to self-doubt, low self-esteem, or a sense of not being good enough.
I’m Manuel Olvera, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I specialize in helping adults work through anger, anxiety, acute and complex trauma, depression, self-doubt, and relationship issues, so you can feel more calm and balanced. I also welcome clients who struggle with ADHD-related challenges, particularly when emotional regulation or past trauma is involved. Teenagers are also welcome.
In therapy, I aim to listen more than I talk. I offer guidance and explain psychological concepts when they’re helpful, but my main focus is creating space for you to express yourself and process what you're feeling. I ask questions to help you explore your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviors - and I follow your lead.
I use Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, and elements of CBT to support healing at the level of both the mind and body. I also help you explore how past wounds may be affecting your current relationships. For couples, I use the Gottman Method and often work with each partner individually in addition to joint sessions - especially when personal trauma is showing up in the relationship dynamic.
Whether you’re seeking relief from anxiety, struggling with anger, shutdown, or self-doubt - or feeling disconnected from yourself or the people around you - therapy can help. You don’t have to have all the answers. If you’re ready to start, I’d be honored to work with you.
Hello, I'm Justin Alexander. I am currently practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been practicing for 17 years. Being in this helping profession in various forms since the age of 19, I have extended experience in a gamut of diagnosis for individual therapy, couples/marriage counseling, and family therapy. Being action-oriented in the therapeutic process, we will work together to achieve the desired goals.
Treat others the way you want to be treated is the motto I live by. I want to be treated kindly, I want to be heard and I want to feel I matter. This is how I will treat you, without strings or hesitation.
I have a story just as you do. I have been lucky to choose a career that has enabled me to know when I need to talk to someone, enabled me to learn and use coping skills that work and has also enabled me to see the beauty through the broken pieces.
Growing up I was a nosey child, I always wanted to know the "why", I still do! This personality trait led me on a path where I have been able to meet people from all walks of life, people who seemingly burned every bridge walked over, people with no hope as well as people who just were going through a rough patch. All these individuals have helped me become the person and the therapist I am today.
I am truly excited to hear people’s story, restore faith and be the constant in people’s lives. Give me a chance to hear your story, you are not alone!
Hello! My name is Guadalupe, I am a Catholic Licensed Professional Counselor who has experience working with diverse populations. My approach to therapy entails collaborating with you as an individual and working together to navigate towards the root of the issue. During our sessions, you are in control – we will only go as far as you are willing to. However, as your therapist, it will be my duty to carefully prod and inquire in certain instances to help you in your healing process. This may sound uncomfortable, even scary, but I hope you learn how discomfort may bring changes to your emotional stability, general happiness, and overall mental state. If you have come this far to search for a therapist then there is a part of you that is conscious of a living experience absent of these burdens: it is that same part that believes and hopes on that version of you. Consider then listening to that inner voice that is yearning to be known.
¡Hola!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than a decade of experience supporting individuals, families, and communities through a wide range of life challenges. My academic journey also includes two years at Florida State University and an Addictions Certificate from the University of Michigan, which I received in 2015.
After graduating, I returned to my hometown of Detroit, Michigan, where I became licensed and began practicing as a social worker. Throughout my career, I have worked as a therapist, crisis manager, and adjunct professor; roles that have allowed me to develop a well-rounded, real-world understanding of the issues people face in everyday life.
My work has been guided by a strong commitment to strengthening both interpersonal and intrapersonal awareness as a pathway to meaningful change. I believe that growth happens when individuals feel understood, supported, and equipped with practical tools to navigate life’s complexities. Through my work with individuals and families across the lifespan, I strive to approach each person with compassion, curiosity, and respect, supporting emotional, mental, and physical well-being at every stage of human development.
I am a licensed therapist with more than 20 years of experience. Hello, my name is Teresa, practicing mental health for over 16 years working with the military population. Working as a middle school teacher in a lower socioeconomic area. This led to my desire to go back to school for my master’s degree in counseling psychology. Receiving my LPC licensure, led me to pursue my chemical dependency counselor license (LCDC). I began working as a substance abuse counselor with the US Army in substance abuse counseling. While working with the military I worked at a local hospital developing a program for civilians in chemical dependency. The need to work with individuals, and families including Service Members, led me to work as a contractor for private corporations. During this time, I received a certification in behavioral therapy to work with the autism spectrum population. Raised as a military dependent, then wife and mother, I experienced many aspects of different personalities. I was led to understand what it means to try to hide who you are to eventually become someone you may not recognize.
The goal is to have you see, life is wonderful, we go through the storm to appreciate the sunshine. The experience developed led me to work with addiction, anxiety, PTSD, and many other mental health issues. We are a beautiful bouquet with different views on life. Using an eclectic therapeutic array of mental health care has allotted me to develop individual care. This concept of care is the same for couples and group therapy. Some techniques include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychosocial therapeutic techniques.

Hello, I am a Nationally Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, in the state of Texas. I have worked in the mental health field for over 14 years. I have worked in the school system as a school counselor and in private practice to help youth and adolescents, individuals and families. I have experience working with a wide range of concerns and mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma/abuse, ADHD, relationship issues, grief/loss, parenting concerns and life changes. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity and compassion. My approaches combine Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am here to support and empower you through your journey.
My name is Vincent Egbuchulam, and I am a licensed professional counselor with over five years of experience in the mental health field. I address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, teen issues, anger and stress management, life transitions, aggression, and ADHD. In addition, I am a retired board-certified Special Education teacher with 15 years of experience.
My counseling approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). CBT involves helping clients learn and practice new skills, develop healthier thinking patterns, and adopt more effective coping strategies. I may assign homework to reinforce the skills we work on during sessions, as I believe that applying these techniques in your daily life enhances their effectiveness. SFBT operates on the principle that individuals are competent and capable of finding solutions to improve their lives. In our sessions, you will have the opportunity to describe your challenges, set personal goals, and provide feedback. Occasionally, I may incorporate other techniques, such as role-playing, if they are beneficial for your progress.
I am committed to supporting those who seek to enhance their emotional well-being. During our initial visit, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and outline what you hope to achieve from our sessions. The first session typically lasts about an hour. You can expect a highly professional, objective, nonjudgmental, and confidential experience.
I have been a counselor for over 30 years working with a variety of people. Whenever I have done other things I have always found myself missing being a therapist and return as soon as I can! This is when I feel most at home. Like most people my age I have experienced death, trauma, divorce, medical problems as well as joy, connection, love, friendship and productivity aka "the Full Catastrophe of Living". I have been on both sides of the couch, and am truly honored when clients pick me to work with them.
I work with a variety of disabilities, mental health issues and am LGBTQ+ affirming. I have worked with people from many different religious, cultural and minority backgrounds and love learning new things.
I am happily married to my second husband, have two grandchildren and on my own time can be found working behind the scenes or on stage at a local theatre. Naturally, popcorn is my favorite food!
“It’s not the load that breaks us down, but the way we carry it.” — Anonymous
Life can get heavy, even when we’re doing our best to stay strong. But the truth is, we’re not meant to carry it all alone. God invites us to lay our burdens down and trust that He can bring peace, clarity, and renewal where we feel weary or weighed down.
In our work together, we’ll unpack the load you’ve been carrying — exploring the beliefs and thought patterns that may be keeping you stuck — and replace them with truth, hope, and grace. My approach integrates faith, reflection, and evidence-based practices to help you realign your mind and spirit with God’s promises and purpose for your life.
I support adults, couples, families, and groups who are navigating emotional imbalance, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflict, anger, and seasons of personal or spiritual growth. My professional background includes experience in the juvenile justice system, battered women’s shelters, psychology, and public education — all of which have deepened my faith in God’s power to heal and restore what’s been broken.
During therapy, I help clients identify their God-given strengths, release unhealthy thought patterns, and develop faith-centered strategies for peace and purpose. Together, we’ll create space for healing that not only transforms your thinking but also strengthens your relationship with God and others.
So, I ask you — are you ready to unpack and let God lighten your load?
