Hi, I’m Katerine Lickteig, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas with over 15 years of experience. I hold a Master’s degree from Prairie View University and specialize in helping individuals of all ages overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. As a certified EMDR therapist, I have successfully worked with clients to heal from past trauma and regain control of their lives. If you’re ready to move forward and create lasting change, I’m here to help.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we’ll begin with brief introductions and then explore the specific challenges you’re facing. This initial conversation helps me understand your unique needs and allows us to create a personalized plan to guide our work in future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

With 15 years of experience working with adults, I’ve developed a proven approach to help you identify the root causes of your challenges and create a personalized plan designed to achieve measurable progress. My goal is to support you every step of the way as you work toward lasting change and growth.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use EMDR as a part of a program that allows a person to process and heal from past trauma by reprocessing distressing memories. This therapeutic approach helps clients reduce the emotional charge attached to traumatic experiences, promoting healthier coping mechanisms and emotional regulation. Integrating EMDR into a comprehensive treatment plan, individuals can achieve greater resilience, emotional balance, and a deeper sense of well-being, ultimately leading to improved mental health and overall life satisfaction.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use cognitive therapy to identify and modify negative thought patterns and beliefs to improve emotional well-being and behavior.
