Children and teens are my happy place! I would never ask a client to grow and change before they are ready. Through a solution-focused approach, we move at a pace that is soothing for the individual. There is no time like the present to learn how to examine your feelings and then express them in a way that will help you flourish!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our intake appointment will be with parent only so that we can discuss what has brought you to counseling. it is important that I understand how you reached this point. The next session will be for me to start building the crucial rapport between therapist and client. I hope to build and comfortable and trusting relationship always keeping the parents informed of anything that needs their attention.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am able to connect with children and provide a welcoming safe space for them to explore feelings and set future goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I welcome children and young adults into my office and work alongside them to get to know and support in areas of struggle. We work to best meet needs related to social and emotional needs. Self-regulation and grounding are used to support self-esteem and overall life fulfillment. We will learn to share our needs so prioritize friends, family and ffaith for our best version of self.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

As motivation, we use Bible verses to meditate on the positive things in life. We encourage self-care utilizing God's word for a grounding tool. Prayer is a healthy coping mechanism used to be mindful while gaining direction and peace.

Play Therapy

Allowing children to tell their story with play enables them to share their feelings in a proactive manner. Since play comes naturally to children, it is beneficial for them to use play for communication and coping.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Clients are walked through cognitive behavior strategies with mindfulness and positive affirming thoughts instead of self-doubt. These positive thoughts help resolve conflicts with self and others.

Grief Therapy

Acceptance and progression of the stages of grief help us to walk theough thr doors to a new beginning. Through memorializing the loved one, we are able to move past grief and yet return when we need to embrace our feelings of mourning.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Allowing client to set the pace for therapy is a way in which we appropriately reach goals of thr clients choice. Activities and discussions help the individual decide what goals they set for themselves.
