I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a strong background in counseling, education, and advocacy. Holding a Master of Education in Counseling and Development from Lamar University and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Texas A&M Commerce, I have spent over 15 years helping individuals navigate life's challenges and develop the tools they need to thrive. My experience includes counseling children, adolescents, and adults, as well as leading mental health initiatives in schools and communities. I provide individual, family, and group therapy. My approach is rooted in creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I work collaboratively with clients to help them uncover unhelpful patterns, explore their emotions, and build the skills needed to make lasting changes in their lives.
The impact of my work can be seen in the progress made by students overcoming behavioral challenges, parents finding relief from stress, and families strengthening their relationships. I am passionate about fostering personal growth, emotional well-being, and positive change, both in the counseling room and within the communities I serve.
With my diverse background, including experience as a counselor, educator, and coach, I understand the importance of mental health in all areas of life. I am committed to helping my clients overcome obstacles, achieve their goals, and build a brighter future.

Hi, I am Samantha, a Licensed Professional Counselor with 15 years experience in community mental health. Native to Texas, I graduated from St. Mary's University, with Master's of Arts in Community Counseling. I have a passion for helping people reclaim their lives and thrive. Whether you’re facing challenges related to trauma, substance use, or life transitions, you don’t have to go through it alone. I provide a warm, non-judgmental space where we can explore your story and work toward healing and growth.
Hi, I’m Carrie Rimato, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist serving clients in the Greater Houston area, including Katy, Texas. My professional journey began in education—I earned my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Houston Christian University (formerly HBU) and spent over a decade teaching in both public and private schools. My passion for helping others grow eventually led me to pursue a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from The King’s University, which I completed in 2018.
Since then, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and families across various settings, including private practice, hospitals, and crisis centers. I take an eclectic, client-centered approach to therapy—drawing from EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, and family systems theory—to provide personalized care tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals.
Whether you're working through anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or relationship issues, my goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel supported, empowered, and heard.
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, watching a good movie, and traveling to any beach I can find—my favorite place to relax and recharge.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I specialize in working with individuals of all ages. I have found that online therapy for adults is effective, convenient and the post pandemic way to obtain therapy. I am solution focused, and I practice the client centered approach theory.
My background is in secondary education and school counseling, for 27 years. I have had my counseling license for 13 years. I am currently a part-time, private counselor, using online with adult clients and in person, for youth, through non-profit, school programs.
I earned an A.A. in Historical Studies from San Jacinto College, Central Campus, La Porte, Texas, June of 1991. I earned my B.A. in Secondary Social Studies from the University of Houston, Clearlake Campus, in Houston, Texas in June of 1994. And I earned my M.Ed. from University of Texas State in San Marcos, in December of 2010. I later added my license in Professional Counseling, in April of 2011. I am interested in the ways trauma impacts the individual and plan to be trained in EMDR, within the year.
I am empathetic to the challenge that real life experiences bring and the need to heal and evolve from the times in our lives when we have lived predominately in our shadow side. I am a non-judgmental listener; I help my clients process their hurt and I inspire them to move towards best version of themselves.
I find the key components to a therapeutic relationship between the counselor and the client is the foundation of trust, honesty, transparency and non-judgmental listening and reflection.
I believe that everyone has a purpose, life lessons that they work through and opportunities to heal, transform and evolve emotionally, spiritually and mentally.

My ideal clients are adults—often high achievers—who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, and the pressure to keep everyone else happy. These patterns quietly erode confidence, strain relationships, and make even small decisions feel exhausting. What they’re really looking for is relief—clearer boundaries, steadier self-trust, and the ability to move through life without constantly second-guessing themselves or carrying old family dynamics into the present.
Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Texas. I received my Masters from Lamar University and have been practicing for 4 years. My goal is to meet you where you are. To understand your environment and help overcome barriers so that you can meet your goals in accomplishing mental health wellness. I want to empower you with tools that allow you to improve communication, strengthen self-esteem, and encourage optimal mental health.
Trauma hurts. It can be sudden, life-altering and overwhelming, or chronic, subtle and nearly unnoticeable, but either way it can change the way we think about others, the world, and unfortunately, ourselves. Dealing with the aftermath—changes in our relationships, lashing out toward self or others, feeling nothing and/or everything all at once—is sometimes as hard as the initial event, especially when society, friends and family and our own minds tell us to “just get over it.” Worse, sometimes we aren’t even sure where the trauma came from in the first place, leaving us confused and even feeling hopeless. If you could just “get over it,” you would, but sometimes the brain simply cannot process traumatic events without help, and this is why trauma therapy exists. :)
I'm an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in Texas. I've been in practice for nearly 15 years and have been doing EMDR therapy for 13 of those. I specialize in helping teens and adults process trauma of all kinds. My goal is to help my clients gain the skills needed to process and adapt to traumatic memories, and then allow them to do so in a safe environment. I teach them how to build boundaries and follow through, and to treat themselves with self-compassion rather than judgment and harsh expectations.
Trauma doesn’t have to ruin (or run) your life. If you’re hurting, please know I’d be happy to help in any way I can.

Have you ever wondered, “What is wrong with me?” If your mirror can talk back to you, what would it say? What good things or bad things will it tell you and how would you respond? I will be the mirror that will help you learn more about yourself and will give you an honest reflection so that you can make the best decisions for yourself. I tailor my counseling approach based on your specific needs and goals.
I combine a person-centered counseling approach with brief solution-focused therapy to give you the best outcome. I have a master’s in counseling with a dual emphasis on both School Counseling and Agency Counseling. I have over 17 years of counseling experience with all age groups, diverse populations, and subject matter. You don’t have to do life alone. Bring me your challenges, your struggles, and your troubles, and let’s work together to resolve them.
I also provide Christian counseling: God never promised us a life free from struggles, pain, or sorrows (John 16.33); however, He did promise that He will never leave us (Matthew 28.20). Life is not meant to be lived alone: It’s not a good thing (Genesis 2.18). I am here to support you and to remind you that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalms 139.13-14), and you are loved (John 3.16). Nothing is impossible with God (Matthew 19.26). Whatever you are struggling with, whatever troubles you, know that God has a purpose for your life (Romans 8.28). As a Christian counselor, you can trust that my counseling approach will not stray from the teaching of the Bible. May God guide us as we work together to understand His purpose and His plan for the challenges in your life.

With a deep passion for counseling, I firmly believe in the power of cognitive and behavioral modifications to help individuals change undesired habits and behaviors. I take great joy in assisting others and witnessing the progress my clients make through our therapeutic work together. I look forward to fostering a meaningful therapeutic relationship with you.
