Counseling is a space where you can explore, process, heal and grow. By being vulnerable we can allow ourselves the space to reflect on who we are now and where we have come from. I believe that we deserve a space where we can feel safe, comfortable and free from judgement. In this space, we can take out some of the boxes that are stored away and discover how we can let go of what no longer serves us while creating new ways of being and relating to ourselves, others, and the world around us .

Hi There, Perrin here, If you are reading this short bio, I want to first congratulate you on the first step towards self discovery. I was born in The Bronx, NY which has inducted me naturally into a world that did not always make sense. I am mixed with African American and Native American heritage so this has allowed me to be both culturally sensitive as well as unbiased towards the human experience. I have a great appreciation for humanity which has led me to this field and assisting individuals in recognizing their innate abilities to push through tough challenges is my most treasured goal. My practice embodies the three core processes I have concluded to be effective during my 13 years of experience. These processes are; explore, grow, and maintain and through these processes, individuals will understand and explore where they have come from, growing through their experiences, and using the skills along the way in maintaining effective change.

Hi, I'm Cory! Do you feel unmotivated, uninspired, and stuck in the routine of life or your relationship? Are you searching for who you are at your core and learning to live a life aligned with that? Are you struggling with anxiety, burnout, depression, or stress, which gets in the way of you moving forward? I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working with families, individuals, and couples. My belief is that we all have struggles throughout our lives, and with the right support, we all have the strength within us to overcome these obstacles. In walking this journey of growth and healing with you, we will use a mind, body, and soul approach. I believe if we are not fulfilling all areas of our health and wellness there will always be parts of us that are not aligned with our truest self, which hinders our natural healing cycle and interferes with us living a meaningful and fulfilling life. I work well with individuals experiencing life struggles related to anxiety, depression, trauma, negative patterns caused by toxic family dynamics, phase of life and adjustment issues, grief and loss, career challenges, self esteem obstacles, relationship struggles, developing and teaching coping skills, finding the root causes to negative patterns in your life, and helping to identify who you are as your individual self.

Search therapists by insurance

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Pennsylvania rather than a city like Philadelphia?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Pennsylvania from Pittsburgh to Scranton! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Pennsylvania.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

What are the "Clients say I'm" badges?

Grow Therapy asks patients about their experience with therapists after they have had a certain number of sessions. After enough responses, we add those characteristics to their profiles to help you find the best online therapists for you. We're still working on collecting this information from all our therapists.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
