It would be my pleasure to work with you! My name is Kim Sylla and I have been interested in the field of social services since childhood when I enthusiastically listened to the life stories of those around me including friends, neighbors and extended relatives. Since then I have had a wide array of additional volunteer and work experiences with adults and adolescents undergoing various life challenges at work, school, home and in the larger community. My varied experience, training and education prepared me to use an integrative therapeutic approach that draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and ecological systems theory.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania. I received my Masters from Clarion University and I have been practicing for five years. I have worked with clients of all ages from three to seventy-four. Trained in play therapy I enjoy working with children using this technique. I served twelve years in the air Force before starting this journey.
I have worked as a therapist for several decades in my own private practice in Southeastern Pennsylvania. I focused on working with individuals and families of all ages during my tenure as a therapist. My recent Telehealth focus has been working with the military, retired and active duty, and their families, who are facing trauma, loss, transitions, anxiety issues, parenting and marital issues.
I'm Beth Kaminsky, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in modern psychoanalytic and attachment-based therapy, integrated with mindfulness-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Much of my work centers on a simple but often overlooked idea: the patterns shaping your life today — how you argue, withdraw, overwork, or self-protect — were formed by earlier relational experience, often outside conscious awareness. I also draw on literature; the way a well-drawn character reveals themselves slowly, often to their own surprise, mirrors how self-understanding actually unfolds in therapy.
Rather than staying purely in the past, we bring that understanding into the present — noticing how old patterns show up in a hard conversation, a recurring conflict, or a feeling you can't quite name — and building the capacity to respond with more awareness and less reactivity. The goal isn't insight for its own sake, but change you can actually feel in daily life.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, with 18+ years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked with individuals of all ages, ranging from very young children to older adults. My wide variety of experience has allowed me to gain knowledge and insight, which has been helpful in assisting others with their concerns.

I go by "Zippy." As a Behavioral Health Consultant, I am dedicated to providing culturally grounded and trauma-informed care to individuals and families facing complex life challenges. Born and raised in Kenya, I bring a unique perspective shaped by experiences in both Kenya and the United States, allowing me to bridge cultural gaps in mental health services. I actively engage in community leadership, having served on Millersville University’s School of Social Work advisory board and volunteering with Grape Leaf Empowerment Center. Currently, I am pursuing a doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy to enhance my ability to address complex relational dynamics affecting mental health. I really enjoy talking about life in general and I hope to bring that to the therapy. I look at sessions like a conversation about psychology while providing structure to achieve goals. I hope that makes it interesting while remaining focused on you as an individual. I think life is very much about learning new things. This philosophy supports being a person who needs to learn and grow.

In my free time, I enjoy taking care of my cats, dogs, parrots, and horses. As an semi-professional musician I continue to enjoy playing piano, clarinet, flute, and violin. I am proud to be a bass clarinetist for the North Pittsburgh Symphonic Band and the Musician's Concert Band. I also enjoy bluegrass music and sang family's bluegrass band "Keep Off the Grass" for many years prior to our banjo player, my talented father, passing away. My friends describe me as unique, humorous and quirky; all qualities that I am proud to incorporate into the way I provide therapy.

Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidal ideation, ADHD, stress, grief, anger management, and life transitions. I am a therapist who specializes in Addiction Recovery, Anxiety and Depressive Disorders. I prefer a Biopsychosocial approach to therapy. I recognize that past trauma, maladaptive thought patterns and environment contribute greatly to how we perceive others and how we "show up" in the world. My job is to challenge thought patterns and support growth while clients empower themselves to make change and develop strategies to improve circumstances.
