About me

I'm Jaycie Jabco, Licensed Therapist. I was born and raised in PA and have a dual-graduate from Penn State in mental health and human development. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. But I'm also a real person, living and breathing this crazy life alongside you. I'm a person who gets it. I bring something different to the therapy room: Humanity. Humor. Honesty. I believe therapy should be both grounded and transformational.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Making an appointment and attending the first session is a huge accomplishment. Half of the battle is sometimes getting started. We will get to know each other and there is minimal pressure or expectation from my perspective- mostly getting a general idea of what brings you here and asking questions to explore what you would like to get out of our time together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I use an eclectic approach which means that I combine techniques and insights from various therapeutic approaches to make your therapy experience more tailored to you and what you need.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My clients are typically seeking to work on long-standing mental health struggles, personal growth/life skills, and support in times of big life changes. Although sometimes we tend to seek treatment to address a specific concern, I work with individuals to help them to uncover other areas of their lives in which they want to make meaningful change.

My treatment methods

Relational

I utilize active listening and examining relationship dynamics to gain insight and develop healthier connections, with the therapeutic relationship serving as a tool for change.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I utilize psychoeducation on trauma, relaxation techniques to manage emotions, identifying emotions, linking thoughts, feeling and behaviors as well as identifying negative thought patterns. This method also includes processing trauma through narration and integrating a new understanding of the trauma that was experienced.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I provide psychoeducation on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to increase understanding, implement coping skills, help you identify and challenge negative thoughts, and help you set small achievable goals to change undesired behaviors.
