Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW, residing in Pittsburgh, PA. I received my master's degree in social work from the University of Pittsburgh. Over the years, I have enjoyed working in various professional settings; some of which include Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital, Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic, School-Based Mental Health, Private Practice and Community Mental Health. I am looking forward to building a practice with Grow and providing my clients with a safe environment in order to work together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During my first session or two with clients, I enjoy getting to know about them, whatever they feel comfortable sharing, which helps with developing rapport and trust during the therapeutic process. Also, begin to discuss why they want to talk with a therapist, goals they may want to address.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe what makes me unique in working with young adults and older adults is developing my connection with them by using compassion, empathy, humor, and honesty. I meet my clients where they are. I have been working with many populations over the years and have received feedback complimenting my professionalism and my ability to connect with my clients.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I have been using the Eclectic Treatment Method for many years, which includes various techniques and skills related to each individual's needs.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I believe that the SFBT is beneficial and successful in focusing on individual goals, how to achieve them, looking toward the future and creating positive change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In order to move forward in therapy and in life, I work with individuals on identifying and challenging negative or distorted thoughts. CBT can be successful in working with various mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, and phobias.

Supportive

As a therapist I always strive to provide emotional support, encouragement, validation and guidance in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
