Great to meet you! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 12 years of experience working with clients to help them feel empowered to make positive changes in their lives. It is important to me to make you feel heard and not judged. I will help you stay accountable to your desired goals and walk beside you on this journey.
Hello! My name is Heather Richards and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. My undergraduate studies were in psychology and elementary education from California University of Pennsylvania. I obtained my master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I have worked in the mental health field for the past 20 years. My background is in working with a wide range of individuals from ages 3 to 90 years of age with a variety of diagnosis. My passion is in working with individuals dealing with trauma or grief and loss. I am a compassionate, caring, and empathetic person who feels that counseling can be a challenging yet rewarding experience.
Welcome! I'm so glad you're here and making this decision to try something new. Therapy can truly be a sacred space. It's a place that can absolutely change your life, if you allow your self the time and space to heal. My focus is to see you as uniquely you: the good, the bad, and the sometimes ugly. I believe we all have inherent value and worth, and I strive to see this in every single person, including you! We may have some changes we need to make and some behaviors we have to part ways with, but through this healing journey, I want you to know how valued and loved you are. To embrace life again like we were meant to. To forgive others and learn to let go. To change what you can and find peace with what you can't.
I operate from a trauma-informed perspective - recognizing how the past has changed the way we see ourselves and those around us. I look at how early life experiences impact our relationships, attachments, emotions, motivation, and joy. I incorporate mindfulness to help with regulation and utilize psychoeducation to understand that what happened in the past can't be changed, but we have the ability to pursue healing and growth regardless.
I am self-pay only for couples sessions ($150/session).
Hi, I’m Nicole Knox, LPC and owner of Mental Momentum Counseling & Consulting, LLC.
If you’re carrying trauma, living with constant worry, or feeling stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break, you’re not alone and you don’t have to navigate this by yourself. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, hypervigilant, exhausted, or disconnected from the version of themselves they want to be. I help you slow things down, understand what’s happening inside your mind and body, and build the emotional stability you’ve been craving.
I specialize in trauma recovery, PTSD, childhood trauma, generational trauma, LGBTQIA-affirming care, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I also support clients dealing with family conflict, stress, and self-esteem challenges. My approach is warm, direct, and deeply collaborative. I blend trauma‑informed care with DBT‑based skills to help you feel safer internally, reduce spiraling thoughts, and create healthier patterns in your relationships and daily life.
If you’re ready to feel more regulated, supported, and empowered in your personal life, I’d be honored to work with you. You deserve relief, clarity, and a space where your story is met with compassion and skill. Schedule a session when you’re ready to begin.
Hello! I appreciate that you’re taking this step toward finding a therapist you feel will be a good fit for you. I am a licensed clinical social worker with 13 years of experience. For most of this time I have worked with people around issues of depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, and relationship/family issues. I am also passionate about working with LGBTQ folks around issues of coming out and self-acceptance. I know that the decision to look for a therapist isn’t always an easy one but, by doing so, you are taking an important first step toward creating change for yourself!
I take a down-to-earth, supportive, conversational approach to therapy. I engage in discussion and don’t hesitate to share my own life experience when appropriate. I find that a more personal approach helps strengthen the relationship between me and the people I meet with which, in turn, will help you feel more comfortable being open in sessions.
I take this approach because therapy is most successful when a person feels like their therapist understands them and when there is some level of connection. I focus on ensuring you will feel both seen and heard starting with our first session. You will be approached by me with curiosity, interest, and care at all times. At the start of your sessions with me I will ask how you’d like to start that day’s conversation and, if you’re not sure, will support you in discovering what might be important for you to talk about in the moment.
I invite you to schedule a first session to see if I am a good fit for what you’re looking for in therapy!
Please note: Currently, I only have availability for one bi-weekly client. My current scheduling availability includes Friday afternoons, and Saturday or Sunday mornings. This is my only availability at this time (as of 9/19/26).
I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field and have worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient care, school-based therapy, partial programs, and community mental health. I work with adults ages 18 and up, and I support clients dealing with anxiety and depression, PTSD, life transitions, neurodivergence (such as autism and ADHD), and women’s physical and mental health concerns.
My approach to therapy is eclectic, trauma-informed, and client-centered. I believe therapy works best when it’s tailored to you—your goals, your strengths, and what you need right now. I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I’m also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).
Most importantly, I strive to create a warm, genuine, and safe space where you can be yourself and share what’s really going on. Therapy with me is a collaborative process, and my goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and empowered as you move toward growth and healing.
I am so happy you are taking the next step for your mental health and wellness! Hello, I’m Nicole McDuff, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania. I have over a decade of experience in the mental health field and hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Gannon University.
I take a warm, relational, and deeply individualized approach to therapy. I believe that meaningful change happens not just by managing symptoms, but by understanding yourself more fully — your experiences, patterns, relationships, and the meaning you’ve made of your story. My goal is to create a steady, compassionate space where you feel genuinely heard and supported as we explore what’s bringing you to therapy.
Hi, I’m Tiffany and I’m so glad that you are here. Making the decision to start therapy can feel overwhelming and my goal is to help you feel as comfortable as possible while we explore potentially uncomfortable topics. I strive to create a warm, friendly, and collaborative environment where you will feel supported and understood. We will work together to better understand your unique circumstances, discover your strengths, and develop the tools to help navigate the stressors that come your way. I work with children, teens, and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and other stressors that negatively impact your mental health. I also enjoy working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community and helping people to feel empowered and develop resilience. Regardless of what life throws at you, you don’t have to face it alone. My hope is that you leave each session feeling supported, empowered, and a little closer to the life that you want to create for yourself.
I’m Dr. George Villarose, a licensed psychologist who works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, ADHD, executive functioning difficulties, and high-functioning autism. I also help clients navigate life stressors, including relationship difficulties, work and vocational concerns, and chronic pain. My experience conducting vocational evaluations has given me a deeper understanding of how emotional and cognitive challenges can affect work and daily life.
I bring a warm, collaborative style to therapy, grounded in empathy and careful listening. I draw on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and practical problem solving to help clients make meaningful changes.
I believe therapy should be a place where you can feel comfortable being yourself, feel truly heard, and talk openly without judgment. With over 16 years of experience working with adults, I know reaching out for support can feel difficult, and I strive to create a warm, supportive space where you can start wherever you are. My approach is genuine, collaborative, and down-to-earth, and I’ll work alongside you as you process past experiences, navigate current challenges, build healthier skills, and create meaningful changes that help you feel better and move forward.
Each person brings a unique set of experiences and challenges. I partner with you to meet you where you are and help you achieve the personal or professional goals that matter most. Whether you’re managing stress and anxiety, feelings of depression, ADHD, or navigating life transitions, I combine empathic listening with practical strategies and a touch of humor to make growth both meaningful and manageable.
Many of my clients are ambitious professionals and individuals who are accustomed to striving for excellence while privately carrying stress, self-doubt, or a relentless pressure to do more. I help clients understand and work with their inner rebel, the part that resists rigid expectations, pushes back against perfectionism, and longs for greater autonomy and authenticity. Together, we can harness this part of you as a source of resilience, creativity, and lasting growth rather than viewing it as something to overcome.
I’m skilled at helping you identify both clear goals and the strengths you may overlook in yourself. Even when you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or discouraged, there are always strengths and insights we can build from, and I help bring those into focus. Together, we will clarify goals, strengthen coping skills, and develop strategies that support decision-making, confidence, and emotional balance.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I am passionate about helping adolescents and adults address their unique challenges and live more fulfilled lives. I completed my Master's degree in Social Work at Millersville University, am trained in EMDR, parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), and have a certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I utilize multiple treatment approaches including Adlerian methods, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), Polyvagal Theory, and solution-focused therapy (SFT).
Life throws us all challenges and struggles that sometimes leave us feeling lost, confused, and alone. I'm confident that I would be able to support you on your journey to gain new perspectives and techniques that allow you to cope with whatever you may be struggling with. Hi, I'm Trish Pierzga, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with 6+ years of experience. I know that life can be challenging and difficult. I also know that it is easy to feel stuck. My goal for each session is help you feel comfortable so you can explore and move past those challenges.
When I think about what I look for in a therapist myself, it is someone who listens, is not afraid to challenge me, and helps guide me through life's transitions. I believe I bring this style to my own clients. I love what I do and I bring this excitement into my sessions because I want people to feel safe and grow in their confidence to overcome the obstacles they are facing.
When I was in grad school I was asked this question: why do you want to do therapy? My answer was immediate: "I want to alleviate suffering!" A more experienced clinician shared a perplexing truth with me: sometimes you can't, you can just sit with the person through it. Over the years I have been honored to hold space for my clients to share their stories of courage and pain. I started to see what she meant, and revised my motto: I want to alleviate suffering and when I can’t I want to create a soft place to land.
So, "Why therapy?” For all those who have forgotten their strength and just need a soft place to land. Using a blended approach of top therapy models, I partner with Clients to create lasting change and find freedom in ways that feel authentic to each person. Together we will learn new concepts, practice practical skills, and transform self-limiting patterns. Life can be hard. I want to help. Let’s talk!
My goal is to help clients learn skills to manage anxiety/ depression and, provide a warm therapeutic relationship that will stimulate healing. I provide a safe therapeutic environment where you can express your truth without judgment. As a team, you and I will work together to address the symptoms and develop positive coping strategies to utilize during challenging times.
I am a Mastered level clinician who studied psychology, and Mental Health counseling. I have experience working with adults, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient services. I provide care in group therapy, and direct care with individuals providing safe therapeutic, milieu, and crisis intervention.

"Unconditional positive regard with a side of personal responsibility." These two concepts are driving force in the work, I get the privilege to do with individuals who chose to allow me to join their journey. My first charge is to always create a safe space to say the hard things out loud, secondly its to charge the individual to define how they wish their life to look--that's the building block for creating change. This process can be messy, a bit scary, sometimes exhilarating and hopefully fulfilling. I have been working with individuals, couples and families at different changes of transitions for over 18 years varying from dealing with addictions to understanding the impacts of mental health. Each person is unique and deserves a safe space to share, be challenge and get constructive feedback to grow.

All behavior is purposeful. This means that we never do anything for no reason. Even when our behavior appears confusing or counterproductive to our values, our behavior has meaning and purpose. Therapy is a setting where we can gain insight about the origins of our perceptions, thinking and behavior. With clearer understanding, we are better equipped to identify factors within our control and consider alternative responses to our conditions. We gain awareness of the needs that are being met by potentially self-defeating thinking or behaviors and have a special opportunity to practice new thinking in the safety of therapy.

I help men and women who feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or disconnected from themselves while trying to keep up with work, family, relationships, parenting, and everyday life. Many of my clients are high-stress professionals, first responders, caregivers, parents, or people who are used to being the one everyone counts on. You may be the person everyone relies on, but inside you feel exhausted, irritable, stuck, or unsure of yourself. You might overthink, people-please, have trouble setting boundaries, or feel guilty when you try to put your own needs first.
In therapy, we focus on helping you understand what is keeping you stuck and what you can actually do differently. Together, we build self-worth, strengthen emotion regulation, create healthier boundaries, improve coping skills, and work toward feeling more confident and in control of your life.
Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania. I really enjoy helping people navigate the challenges of changing and maintaining roles in life---exploring young adulthood, finding and maintaining your own identity as a parent, how to create a life worth living in whatever stage you are in. I feel like I am very open, non judgmental, eager to learn, empathetic and understanding. And funny!
I am a gender affirming therapist. I am an ally in the LGB and TNC Communities, always keeping my eyes and ears open to find ways to improve my allyship. The current political climate is traumatic and oppressive to members of these Communities as well as many other Communities that are typically considered marginalized. I want to create space in session to discuss how that may be affecting you or retraumatizing you.
I am very comfortable with working with those who use self harm as a coping mechanism--there is no shame or expectation you must stop when you engage in therapy. I'm fine with talking about suicide, whether it's your own personal experience of trying to find a life worth living, your experience of supporting someone who lives with suicide in their life, or grief around experiences of suicide. I do not believe inpatient hospitalization is an effective treatment for those experiencing suicide and do everything I can as a therapist to keep people out of the hospital when in suicidal crisis.
I do believe therapy is political. I am social justice focused, continuing to do my own anti-racism work. I believe in Health at Every Size. I believe that our environment and what we experience in life has a profound affect on us and must be discussed in therapy.
Hi! My name is Jessica and I am a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a Masters Degree in Social Work and a Clinical Social Work License in Pennsylvania. I have worked in trauma, medical social work, adoption, crisis intervention, and as a therapist specializing in depression, anxiety, and ADHD for nearly 30 years. I enjoy working with individuals and families. I try to empower my clients with a strength-based approach to whatever concerns they bring to therapy.
Is anxiety or depression keeping you from living the life you want? Are you struggling in your relationships? Would you like to communicate more effectively? Do you isolate or avoid situations because of low self-esteem or lack of self-confidence? Is a self-sabotaging behavior interfering with your well-being or relationships? You and I can work together to bring about change: you can overcome anxiety and depression. You can break out of the cycle of self-sabotaging or addictive behaviors. Life can be better and relationships more fulfilling. With support and guidance, you can build the life you want.
I have extensive experience in the fields of mental health and addictions, working with individuals seeking change and the loved ones who want to support them.
Hello there! My name is April and I have been in this field for 10 years now. My main goal is to make a space for you and your healing journey. I deliver my therapy modalities as kind and respectful as I do truthful. Honesty may be hard but toxic positivity is harmful, I approach life with a strength based perspective.

There are times in our lives when we feel uncertain- may be questioning direction or unsure of the path to continue on. I have been there and my desire is to help you in this time. Whether you are experiencing grief, struggling with a life transition, having a difficult time connecting with others, or are just struggling in general- you don’t have to do it alone.
I am passionate about this work and have spent the last 14 years supporting individuals in major life transitions - often times where there lives had been at rock bottom and I had the honor of helping them to find their light again. Throughout that time in my career I learned many things and want to help apply that knowledge to supporting you. I have a passion for helping people find joy in difficult seasons and have experienced abrupt changes and the importances of finding support. I want you to leave our sessions feeling like you have a plan and that a weight has been lifted.
"One step, one step."
So, this is a phrase I often say. I use it as a reminder that we will move forward, heal, achieve our goals one step, one moment at a time. If we feel or see ourselves slip back....we reset. We move forward again one step, one step.
Wellness has always been a focus in my life's work. My expertise has allowed me to work with individuals from the African Diaspora, immigrant communities, various cultures, military and those diagnosed with chronic illness. I use a holistic approach, integrating modalities such as a Client-Centered approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused and Mindfulness to achieve your goals and build an empowered, stronger and healthier sense of self. I believe that collaborating with you as an individual, learning your strengths, challenges, and identifying key coping skills together we move towards your best strategies for wellness.
If you are feeling worried, depressed, scared, anxious, overwhelmed by circumstances in your daily life or new to therapy we can work together to find that balance you need.
Hi! I'm Nikki, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Greater Pittsburgh Area that's been recognized as Marquis Who's Who Honoree Listee. I've been working in human services for 28 years starting with an Alzheimer's unit in a nursing home and intellectual disabilities in group homes to wraparound services with children that have Autism. I gained my education in psychology and counseling and began working with at risk youth in juvenile delinquency settings and now working with transition aged youth. I really enjoy helping young adults find themselves and their path in life with their personal life and professional endeavors. I've also grown with the BFRB community (body focused repetitive behavior) being recovered myself and providing outreach and advocacy. I have been featured on the Dr. Oz television show, spoken at the Pennsylvania Counseling Association, and written an article in a book. My main approach is a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for general anxiety and depression and sometimes integrate expressive arts approaches for those that have difficulty expressing themselves. I specialize in OCD and am trained in Habit Reversal, ACT, COMB and ERP. I currently only offer online therapy and do not accept clients with severe mental illness, active suicidality or substance use.
On a personal note, I'm married with a daughter and we enjoy outdoor activities. My hobbies include crocheting and scrapbooking. I really believe in "You are the author of your own life story" and would like to hear your story as you're the expert! I teach by my own SELF approach: S for searching your soul and what works for you, E for changing your environment from a toxic one to a healthy one, L for surrounding yourself with those that love and support you and learning to love yourself, and F for forgiving yourself for relapses.
Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania. I received my Masters from Liberty University and have been practicing for 7 years. I help youth in the foster care system, adolescent struggles, and adults trying become the best versions of themselves. I empower others to seek the core of their challenges and find effective skills to implement for the desired change they want in their life.
Greetings! My name is Brian. I am a licensed counselor in Pennsylvania. I have worked with both long-term and short-term clients in residential treatment and outpatient settings since 2010. My straightforward approach includes aspects of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Solution-Focused Counseling. I encourage clients to think deeply about the underlying feelings that drive their actions to release pain.
Thank you for taking the time to read my intro.
Hi there! Let's sit and chat...
Are you looking for a safe space to explore and organize your thoughts and feelings?
Many people see therapy as a one-sided conversation, with little opportunity for interaction or getting to experience one another as real people. I can assure you our sessions will be as real as it gets!
I want to help you achieve whatever solutions and life changes you are looking for. We'll work on building trust and a sense of safety, using open communication and humor, to identify how we can improve on your already existing coping skills, supports, and knowledge. Although this process may be challenging, we will work to enjoy the process as much as possible, so you can experience yourself, your relationships, and your life in new ways. Simply put, I don't think therapy has to be a painful thing for you. Starting this step can be hard and I would love the opportunity to work with you on this journey.
For Private Pay Clients:
Individual Sessions: $190/hour
Couple/Family Sessions: $230/hour
**All couples and families are seen via private pay. This allows us to focus on the relationships in the room, rather than the diagnosis of an individual.
**For those out of network, should you meet criteria for a diagnosis accepted by insurance companies, I can provide monthly superbills that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Please note that the payments received by the insurance provider as reimbursement may not cover the full service fee and I cannot guarantee reimbursement.
