Hello! I'm Sophia, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My background is in working with young people transitioning to adulthood. Navigating life transitions can be confusing and difficult, but also exciting and made easier with someone to support you along the way. I utilize an eclectic, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach. If you're looking for a therapist to help you understand yourself better, I might be the right fit for you!
During our first session we'll discuss what brought you to therapy, what your past experiences have been like in therapy (or if this is your first time!), and any questions you may have for me. I want to start developing an understanding of both who you are and your goals.
I specialize in an eclectic approach, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities such as CBT, MI, and Jungian therapy. This allows me to provide individualized treatment unique to the particular needs that arise throughout the time we will work together.
I can help with a range of difficulties including everyday stressors, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and self-esteem. I have a diverse background, however specialize in working with young adults (18-24), especially those who have interacted with the CYF and/or foster care system during their youth.

Eclectic
Having an eclectic approach over the years has allowed me to keep treatment flexible and specific to each individual I work with. Whether someone seeks therapy for concrete skills (such as those found in CBT), or to have a dedicated weekly time to talk through their thoughts and feelings (such as by using Motivational Interviewing), I can utilize the approach that fits both what they are seeking and what would most benefit their needs.
