(she/her)
I'm Nanette Allred, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 31 years of experience helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges with clarity, compassion, and creativity. Through my virtual practice, NPA Counseling, I specialize in CBT, Solution-Focused, Strength-Based, and Reality therapies—tailoring each session to meet you where you are. Whether you're seeking emotional resilience, stronger relationships, or practical tools for daily life, I offer a safe, supportive space to grow.
In our first session together, you can expect a warm, welcoming space where we focus on what brought you here and what you hope to get out of therapy. I’ll ask some thoughtful questions to get to know you—your strengths, your challenges, and what feels most important right now. We’ll talk about your goals, clarify what support looks like for you, and begin shaping a plan that fits your life. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance—just come as you are. My job is to listen, guide, and help you feel safe enough to start the work.
What sets my approach apart is how deeply I tailor therapy to you—not just your challenges, but your strengths, values, and goals. I blend evidence-based methods like CBT, Solution-Focused, and Strength-Based therapy with creative tools that make the work feel practical and empowering. Whether we’re using a worksheet to track avoidance patterns or exploring a social story to improve communication, everything is designed to help you feel more confident, clear, and capable in your daily life. Clients often tell me they appreciate how therapy feels both structured and personal—like they’re gaining insight and tools they can actually use.
I work best with people who are tired of feeling stuck in the same patterns and are ready—at their own pace—to create something different. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You might feel anxious, emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected in your relationships, or unsure how to move forward. What matters most is that there’s a part of you that still wants change, healing, or peace. My role is to meet you where you are, help you make sense of what’s going on, and support you in building a life and relationships that feel more steady, meaningful, and aligned with who you truly are.
Eclectic
I take an eclectic approach to therapy—meaning I draw from a variety of proven methods to meet you where you are. Whether we're working through anxiety, relationship challenges, or life transitions, I blend techniques from cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, strength-based, and reality therapies to support your unique goals. This flexible style allows us to build a path forward that feels practical, empowering, and tailored just for you.
